What success looks like in this role: You maintain and optimise a high-performance Node/TypeScript backend while spearheading the development of new microservices in Golang to evolve the team's technical capabilities You deliver polished React and TypeScript applications that provide enterprise customers with intuitive interfaces and a seamless user experience You take full ownership of features from ideation to production, collaborating with Product to define requirements and managing the entire CI/CD and monitoring lifecycle You act as a strategic technical voice, navigating the trade-offs between existing systems and new technologies while communicating architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders You serve as a key voice in technical strategy, effectively reasoning through complex trade-offs and communicating architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders About the team: You will join a technical team of c. 40 technologists with a key purpose of continuously and reliably collecting large amounts of financial data describing cross-border payments, then processing the data, checking the quality and serving it to our users so that they can make the best business decision The Sales Enablement team is made up of five people, including Developers, a QA and a Product Manager We follow Agile methodologies and collaborate closely with product and commercial teams, so you will be interacting with various stakeholders across the business in addition to your immediate team You should apply if you can confidently: Bring professional software development experience to solve complex technical challenges and mentor others Utilise your knowledge and experience of Golang build new backend services for the system Develop sophisticated, responsive web applications using React, Node and TypeScript Design and optimise schemas while managing data integrity within SQL environments like MariaDB or PostgreSQL Apply "clean code" principles and language-specific idioms (Go/TS) to lead code reviews and establish high-quality engineering benchmarks for the team Champion software quality by writing comprehensive automated unit tests to ensure long-term stability Harness AI tools to accelerate your development productivity and successfully deploy AI-driven features into production environments Approach every challenge with a positive attitude and a proactive drive to learn new technologies and methodologies It's a bonus if you also have experience with: Microservices and microservice architecture Applications with concurrent logic (i.e. goroutines) Building CI/CD pipelines, especially with GitLab CI Configuring and using observability tools (e.g. Prometheus and Grafana) Containerisation services (e.g. Docker), AWS and/or Kubernetes gRPC MaterialUI Tech Stack : Golang, TypeScript, React, MaterialUI, MariaDB, Clickhouse, Git, Gitlab, AWS About us: FXC Intelligence is a leading provider of cross-border payments data and intelligence, providing some of the world's biggest companies, central banks and non-governmental organisations with the strategic insights, expertise and awareness to effectively compete in their chosen markets.
