We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused MDU Installation Engineers to join our clients field engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining broadband, fibre, and TV services within Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs), ensuring a high-quality service experience for residents and property managers. Key Responsibilities Carry out installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fibre, copper, and/or coaxial networks within MDU environments. Install and test customer premises equipment (CPE), including routers, set-top boxes, and Wi-Fi devices. Run internal cabling (cat5/6, coax, fibre) neatly and in compliance with health & safety regulations. Work closely with property managers, landlords, and building contractors to ensure smooth installation processes. Perform fault diagnosis and service restoration in MDU buildings. Ensure all work is completed in line with company quality standards, compliance requirements, and industry regulations. Maintain accurate job records, documentation, and reporting using company systems. Provide excellent customer service, explaining installations and resolving any queries. Adhere to site safety standards, risk assessments, and method statements at all times. Skills & Experience Required Essential: Proven experience as a telecoms/fibre/broadband installation engineer. Good knowledge of MDU infrastructure, including risers, comms rooms, and in-building cabling. Competence in fibre optic installation, splicing, and testing (OTDR, power meter, visual fault locator). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and building plans. Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills. Full UK driving licence (or equivalent in your region). Excellent communication and customer service skills. Role Overview Reporting to the Civils Delivery Manager, this role will be responsible for monitoring the onsite delivery of the civil infrastructure for an FTTP network deployment project within Suffolk. The Senior Civils Supervisor will ensure that site operations are carried out on time, to specification within Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental guidelines and regulations. Promote safe working and maintain high quality of workmanship standards whilst being as efficient and cost effective as possible and lead a team of Civils Supervisors ensuring per specifications whilst adhering to best industry practices The Role Working with the Civils Delivery Manager to complete Network build & Installations to specific deadlines, ensuring all post installations/as-built documents are completed and checked in accordance with Client/CityFibre conditions of the project. Monitor work to ensure streetworks permits and client timescales are met Update daily/weekly reports and review against the project delivery milestones. Highlighting any risks that may have arisen to the Civils Delivery Manager. Internal inspections, compliance checks and Inspecting quality work Liaising with Local Authorities and clients Carrying out audits to ensure that work sites meet NRSWA and Health & Safety standards Ensure all productivity targets are achieved Ensure that all work is carried out safely and to adequate standards as stated in the contract specification Review and closure of all corrective actions and raise improvement actions to redefine works Ensure all completed works documentation and as-builts drawings are completed Requirements: A minimum of 3 years civils supervising experience, ideally on FTTH/P projects. Good understanding of Fibre Network Delivery within FTTP Competent IT skills including knowledge and experience of a broad range of applications and packages Ability to understand and implement agreed plans which support the needs of the business and support operational effectiveness.
