Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience A minimum of 3 years commercial experience in software testing, QA, or a related technical role Strong manual testing capability with excellent attention to detail Understanding of automated testing concepts and why they are used in modern software delivery Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Understanding of APIs and API testing concepts Working knowledge of Java to support automation debugging and test validation activities Commercial experience contributing to automated test suites using Selenium, TestNG and Java or similar automation frameworks Understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies Comfortable documenting test results and writing clear bug reports Confident using technology and learning new tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A proactive, organised, and team-focused approach Desirable (but not essential) Experience with Jira or similar issue tracking tools Familiarity with test management tools such as TestRail Experience testing SaaS or web based applications Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and release workflows Experience or study in Computer Science or a related field Experience within EdTech or education environments Experience testing REST APIs testing using tools such as Postman or Insomnia, including validating responces, payloads, headers and status codes We recognise candidates may not have experience across every area listed above and encourage applications from individuals eager to continue developing their testing and automation capability. A relocation support allowance may be available for an exceptional candidate relocating within the UK. Working pattern Full-time, 37.5 hours (Monday to Friday). All year round (52 weeks).
