Here at Humanoid, we believe in a future where robots amplify human potential. That's why we've set out on a mission to build the world's most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. We're bringing that mission to life with HMND-01 Alpha - our rapidly developed humanoid platform now running in real industrial pilots - and we're growing the team to take it even further. About the Role We are looking for a Senior Software Serviceability Engineer to own the software and AI dimension of serviceability for our humanoid robots. Product Services Engineering makes sure the robot is designed to be maintained - and that when it needs service, it can be diagnosed and repaired quickly, safely, and at low skill in the field. You will own that mission for everything software: diagnostics, firmware and bootloader serviceability, and the diagnostic content behind our remote-diagnostics (Digital Shadow) platform. This is a deeply technical, hands on role. You will validate the software and AI dimension of every service procedure before it reaches production, build the diagnostic tooling that lets our Remote Services and Repair Centre teams find faults fast, and act as part of the single engineering interface between Services and R&D. What You'll Do: Own Design-for-Serviceability for software: ensure the robot's software, firmware, and AI stack can be diagnosed, updated, and recovered in the field with minimal skill. Collaborate with R&D to build and validate diagnostic scripts, tooling, and self test routines that localise faults as deep as possible in the BOM. Define and own the software diagnostic content in the Digital Shadow platform: remote diagnostics, fleet pattern detection, and AR guided execution. Validate the software and AI dimension of service, repair, calibration and OTA procedures before production release. Own firmware, bootloader, and calibration serviceability, including recovery paths for failed updates. Support New Services Introduction (NSI) for software, and act as the single point of entry from Services into R&D for software escalations. We're Looking For: Strong software engineering for robotics or embedded systems: ROS2, Bash, and Ubuntu/Linux, with bootloader/firmware workflows. Proficiency in Python (and ideally C++) for diagnostics, tooling, and automation. Hands on experience diagnosing robots or complex electromechanical systems - you can tell whether a fault is software, firmware, calibration, or hardware. Working understanding of sensor and actuator stacks (2D/3D LiDAR, RGB cameras, motors/actuators) from a software and diagnostic perspective. A design for serviceability mindset - you think about the technician in the field, not just the happy path. Disciplined engineering practice and version control (Git). Nice to have: Experience deploying AI/ML on robots and diagnosing model or behaviour issues in the field. Familiarity with remote diagnostics or fleet telemetry platforms. Experience authoring service documentation or work instructions consumed by non engineers. Exposure to Design for Serviceability / DfMA on a hardware product line. Synthesia is the world's leading AI video platform for business, used by over 90% of the Fortune 100. Founded in 2017, the company is headquartered in London, with offices and teams across Europe and the US. As AI continues to shape the way we live and work, Synthesia develops products to enhance visual communication and enterprise skill development, helping people work better and stay at the center of successful organizations. Following our recent Series E funding round, where we raised $200 million, our valuation stands at $4 billion. Our total funding exceeds $530 million from premier investors including Accel, NVentures (Nvidia's VC arm), Kleiner Perkins, GV, and Evantic Capital, alongside the founders and operators of Stripe, Datadog, Miro, and Webflow. Synthesia is moving from a single product to a multi-product platform, and research is about to become one of the pillars that determines whether we get that transition right. You'd be joining as our first full-time UX researcher, working directly with product, design, and engineering on the bets that will define what Synthesia looks like over the next few years, including a new real-time, agentic product where we're figuring out an entirely new modality as we build it. This is a Senior IC role. You'll own research end-to-end and shape how the function itself takes form. Why now We've validated the appetite for research. Persona and jobs mapping shaped the first version of our newest product, and there's a strong pull from PMs, designers, and leadership for more. What we don't have yet is a full-time researcher who can operate across the whole product portfolio. The next six months contain some of the highest-stakes decisions we'll make: how the assistant experience should evolve, what drives adoption of the new product, and how we activate users in their earliest moments. Research should be shaping the direction on all three. What you'll be doing Running a combination of strategic and tactical qualitative research across our product portfolio, from generative discovery through evaluative studies on live product experiences Holding a macro view of where research can create the most leverage, and moving fluidly between product areas based on where your expertise is most needed Building out a participant panel and ReOps practices so recruiting stops being a bottleneck, and shaping the light research operations we need as we scale Influencing how PMs, designers, and leadership frame problems. This role has a real thought leadership and change management element, and pure execution won't be enough Partnering closely with our Product Data team; you'll bring the qualitative depth alongside their quantitative work, together forming the insight backbone that feeds into product and exec decisions Presenting findings to executives and shaping decisions at the top of the company Coaching designers and PMs on lightweight research practice where it's the right call Who you are You've been the only researcher on a technical team before, or something close to it. You're comfortable defining your own priorities, negotiating what to work on, and translating fuzzy strategic questions into research that actually moves decisions. You're a qualitative researcher at heart, but you're fluent with data, comfortable reading it, comfortable building a survey when one is called for, and comfortable pushing back when a number is being over-interpreted. You know when to reach for a method and when to reach for a conversation. You've navigated the delicate parts of B2B research, recruiting customers without stepping on Sales relationships, running studies with users who are also account contacts, and building trust that lets you keep going back to the well. You can hold your own with executives. You're direct, you form views, and you bring people along with clear thinking rather than volume of output. You may be a good fit if you bring Significant experience as a UX or product researcher, ideally including time as the only researcher on a team B2B SaaS experience is strong plus, though we'll relax this for someone exceptional Strong qualitative toolkit across strategic and evaluative research, with the ability to build and run your own surveys when needed Experience with, or a strong instinct for, research operations, especially participant recruiting and panel building Comfort influencing senior stakeholders and shaping the direction of a team, not just its outputs A pragmatic view of AI in research practice. You use it where it earns its place, and you're not precious about tooling Understanding of the inherent usability and product challenges found in AI-native products Even if you don't tick every box, do apply anyway. Location London, flexible, hybrid role from our office nr Great Portland St Station. Our culture At Synthesia we're passionate about building, not talking, planning or politicising. We strive to hire the smartest, kindest and most unrelenting people and let them do their best work without distractions. Our work principles serve as our charter for how we make decisions, give feedback and structure our work to empower everyone to go as fast as possible. You can find out more about these principles here. Global benefits: You will be compensated well with a generous salary and equity. You get 25 days of annual leave + local holidays. Regular team offsites where you'll get to collaborate with the product & engineering team in person. Work from home budget Work from anywhere policy of 60 days per year Generous referral scheme Enhanced parental leave - maternity leave includes 16 weeks at full pay, and paternity leave includes 5 weeks at full pay (if your country's government scheme offers more generous support, you receive whichever is greater - our enhanced policy or the local statutory benefit) Benefits specific to UK: Private healthcare via AXA for you with a discount for dependants 5% pension match Team lunches Tuesday-Friday in the office

About Moneybox At Moneybox, our mission is to give everyone the means to get more out of life. We're guided by our belief that wealth isn't about the money, it's about the means to more - more freedom, opportunities, possibilities, and peace of mind. Moneybox is an award-winning wealth management platform, helping over one and a half million people build wealth throughout their lives, whether they're saving and investing, buying their first home, or planning for retirement. Job Brief We're looking for a Senior UX Researcher with experience of mixed methods to support Moneybox's growing product and design teams, to continue to build meaningful and simple user experiences. Your focus will be on delivering value through strategic discovery and evaluative testing. You'll be expected to perform hands on research as well as driving self serve research as appropriate amongst the product and design teams through coaching and mentoring. You're an AI first researcher: you actively use AI tools to accelerate and scale research, from synthesis and analysis to survey scripting and rapid discovery, while maintaining methodological rigor, and you help the wider team build good habits around this. You have strong experience with quantitative UX research, going well beyond basic satisfaction scales, confidently designing and running large scale quantitative surveys and applying more advanced statistical techniques. You understand how user research helps shape metrics and drive teams towards success. You appreciate and have experience of executing robust research studies, however, are adaptable and consider practical constraints in order to deliver 'just enough research' to deliver timely and impactful insights. You'll help build a healthy pipeline of mid and longer term research projects, from exploratory/foundational discovery research to evaluative testing, through to beta/go to market monitoring, that will help drive future innovation and align with research and business objectives. You're commercially minded and understand the business context behind the research and prioritise and frame your work in terms of the impact it can have on customers and the business alike. You'll be expected to proactively work with cross functional partners across the business to leverage available data, ensuring no insights are left unturned, evangelising research practices, AI augmented ways of working, and general user centricity throughout the company. Therefore you should be someone who is natural at building relationships and presence across the business. You will also have the opportunity to support in growing and developing the research function and as such you're a self starter, spotting gaps in processes and working swiftly to propose solutions. Great research is only as valuable as its reach. You're skilled at socialising insights across the business, packaging and presenting findings in ways that stick, and making sure the right people act on them at the right time. If you're able to do so, please share a portfolio of your work, including examples that demonstrate quantitative analysis and/or AI augmented research workflows. What you'll do This role will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Bring expertise across a variety of research methodologies, both quantitative and qualitative, online and offline, from at least 5 years' experience, including leading projects and deciding how to best design, manage and deliver research. Help the business solve the right problems in the right way, building understanding of customer needs, and supporting teams to evaluate their solutions against them. Partner closely with the analytics team so qualitative insights are backed by quantitative data wherever possible. Design and run large scale quantitative surveys that go beyond basic rating scales, using solid reasoning to surface actionable insight. Bring a commercial lens to research, framing and prioritising work in terms of the value and impact it can drive for the business, not just the customer. Embed AI tools into day to day research work (e.g. transcript/data synthesis, coding, survey design, analysis, reporting), knowing where AI adds speed and where human review and rigor are essential and help the wider team build the same habits. Be a strong advocate for the customer and for research itself, packaging and presenting insights so they land with stakeholders and drive real decisions, not just sit in a report. Influence, challenge and enable teams to deliver high quality product experiences. Who you are Deep experience with both generative and evaluative research methods, comfortable independently initiating, running and communicating research end to end. Commercially minded. You connect research to business outcomes and can prioritise and frame your work so it clearly ties back to commercial impact, not just user need. Excellent at socialising research for impact. Skilled at packaging, presenting and landing insights so they cut through and drive action. A genuine advocate for the customer and for research as a discipline, focused on where your work will have the greatest impact, with clear examples of embedding research into how products get built. As an AI first researcher you proactively use AI tools across your workflow (synthesis, coding, survey scripting, rapid analysis) to work faster and scale impact, without compromising rigor or participant privacy, and you keep pace with new tools as they emerge. A fantastic communicator with strong presentation skills, especially when sharing impactful insights. A natural relationship builder with presence across the business. Experienced leading research within multidisciplinary teams, equally comfortable working autonomously or collaboratively. Skilled at working with peers to prioritise effectively, with clear rationale behind your decisions. Thrive in a fast paced environment, using lightweight processes, creative thinking, AI augmented workflows and quick iteration to have a big impact. A keen interest and knowledge of the FinTech industry.
