About the Role This is a hands on development role where you'll take ownership of key software projects and contribute to the design, implementation, and improvement of our applications. You'll work closely with internal teams, from IT and production to design and operations, to ensure our systems are reliable, efficient, and fit for the future. You'll have the opportunity to shape how technology supports every part of our business, balancing development best practices with the real world needs of a busy commercial environment. What You'll Do Build the systems that power our e commerce experience and internal operations - from customer facing front end applications to the APIs that drive our platforms. Build and enhance automation, workflow tools, and integrations between platforms and services. Lead development initiatives, contribute to architectural decisions, and provide technical guidance to junior developers. Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into robust, scalable technical solutions. Ensure systems are secure, maintainable, and performant, following industry best practices. Contribute to the ongoing evolution of our technology stack, engineering standards, and development processes. Use AI assisted development tools (e.g., agent powered IDEs, code generation tools, intelligent documentation systems) to accelerate delivery and improve code quality. Support deployment, monitoring, and operational readiness across cloud and hybrid environments. Work with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) to build and manage cloud environments. Support and improve CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub Actions, or similar. About You Strong experience in software engineering (typically 5+ years), with exposure to both front end and back end development Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., C#, Java, Go, or similar) Experience building web applications, APIs, and service based architectures Solid understanding of relational databases, version control (Git), and modern development workflows Comfortable using AI tools to support and accelerate your work - such as code assistants, AI powered IDEs (e.g., Claude Code, Antigravity), or agent based development workflows Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) to provision and maintain cloud resources Familiarity with CI/CD tooling (e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and automated build/deployment pipelines Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for deployment, scaling, and operational management Knowledge of containerisation and modern deployment tooling (e.g., Docker, container orchestration, container based workflows) Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with wider teams and stakeholders A practical, problem solving mindset focused on delivering high quality, maintainable code Experience with e commerce systems or manufacturing/production environments is beneficial Why Join Us Opportunity to work on innovative, high impact AI products.
