Job Summary Employer: DWS Group. Title: Senior Equity Portfolio Manager/Engineer - ETFs/Index Investing. Location: London. Overview DWS Group is a leading global asset manager offering innovative investment solutions. The Passive Portfolio Management Team manages X-trackers across equity and fixed income ETFs, as well as segregated mandates covering a wide array of index providers and benchmark types. Responsibilities Carry out daily management of index equity portfolios via portfolio construction and trade implementation. Support management of client flows efficiently. Manage investment and risk exposures, determining optimal hedging strategies where relevant. Determine optimal portfolio strategy to minimise tracking error to index; ensure trading accuracy across corporate actions and cash flows. Work on projects aimed at creating efficiency and bringing scalability/automation to platform development. Collaborate with trading desks to determine optimal execution strategies. Contribute to new and existing product development processes. Oversee NAV, portfolio composition file reconciliations and performance attribution analysis. Qualifications Strong financial product knowledge across equities, fixed income or commodities with exposure to index, synthetic, delta one or derivative instruments. Sound experience in portfolio management, trading or index research, with knowledge of portfolio construction, performance & attribution, and related ETF servicing. Knowledge of index methodologies from key providers (FTSE, S&P, MSCI, etc.). Strong quantitative/analytical skills, including proficiency in Python, VBA and Excel. Understanding of rebalancing trading strategies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and capability using Bloomberg, Reuters, FactSet, Aladdin and optimisation systems such as Barra BPM, Bloomberg Portfolio Management. Experience with option strategies and structured products considered highly beneficial. Educated to bachelor's degree level or equivalent qualification/work experience.
