This role forms part of an ongoing Business-as-Usual (BAU) and continuous improvement service, ensuring the stability and optimisation of SAP FieldVu within a large, complex environment. The consultant will have strong experience with SAP Business One. The consultant will support a FieldVu solution used for order management and rental of materials, machinery, and peripherals , and will contribute to generating new reports and adding new features as part of the client's consolidation and optimisation roadmap. While the client uses ServiceNow for help desk and ticketing, experience with ServiceNow is a bonus , not essential. The client prefers to hire via FTC but could look at Outside IR35 and is keen to secure someone who can start within the next 3 weeks . Key Responsibilities Business-as-Usual (BAU) Support Handle SAP FieldVu tickets and requests raised through IT support processes. Conduct root cause analysis and resolve recurring or high-priority issues. Provide expert troubleshooting and functional support across FieldVu configuration and integrations. Configuration, Enhancements & New Features Configure SAP FieldVu to support ongoing programme consolidation activities. Update workflows, screens, and functional components as required. Develop new reports and enhance existing reporting outputs. Add new features or make improvements to the FieldVu order management and rental solution for materials, machinery, and peripherals. Implementation Support Assist with implementation tasks, testing cycles, and validation. Produce or update design documentation and support deployments. Work alongside business stakeholders to convert requirements into system changes. Continuous Improvement Review current FieldVu usage and identify process optimisation opportunities. Recommend best-practice improvements across workflows and operations. Provide knowledge transfer and light training for end-users or internal teams. On-Site Engagement Attend the client site 2-3 days per month for workshops, troubleshooting, and stakeholder sessions. Essential Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience with SAP FieldVu (configuration, support, enhancements). Experience with FieldVu functionality in order management, rental workflows, or resource/material handling. Ability to create new reports and develop additional system features. Proven experience operating within BAU and continuous improvement environments. Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. Background working within large, global, or highly matrixed organisations. Desirable Skills ServiceNow ITSM experience (bonus, not essential). Exposure to consolidation, transformation, or optimisation programmes. Understanding of FieldVu data flows and integrations.
