Control products are predominantly Vehicle and Engine controllers used for real time critical control of Powertrains and Vehicle systems. These include the Motion Applied TAG range of ECU's as delivered to F1 and NASCAR as well as other high profile Motorsport championships. Interface units are products used to interface and communicate to devices in a vehicle and integrate into the overall system. These include devices such as Steering Wheels, Displays, CAN gateways and Engine Interfaces (Ignition and Injection drive units). Products in the Control and Interface portfolios include Hardware, Embedded software as well as Application software. Principal Accountabilities Help to develop the portfolio roadmap, including introduction of new products and prioritisation of bug fixes and feature requests that are aligned with business goals. Engage with customers, business units and customer success teams to gather market requirements and set priorities. Contribute to product specifications, user stories, prototypes, acceptance criteria and execution in collaboration with engineering and QA/Systems teams. This will involve getting hands on with our products. Support initiatives that improve product knowledge, usability and accessibility of value. Contribute to the business rationale for products across their lifecycle, learning how commercial and customer considerations influence decisions. Assist in monitoring key KPIs for product performance, gaining exposure to product financials, P&L considerations and ROI thinking. Work alongside Product Managers in other portfolios to build an integrated market offering across hardware and software solutions. Support the management of assigned products within their primary markets and explore opportunities for market expansion. Collaborate with product marketing and business teams to contribute to content, positioning, pricing discussions and Go To Market activity. Work with production, procurement and planning to understand how product design and engineering choices influence delivery and manufacturing efficiency; design for manufacture, assembly and test; component selection and BOM management. Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience Strong technical interest and foundation-ideally a degree in engineering or a science based discipline, or equivalent hands on experience. Direct experience with Motorsport products such as Engine and Vehicle Control units, dashboards, steering wheels and data loggers, engine I/O devices such as ignition and injection drivers, analogue and digital CAN gateways, telemetry systems, calibration and analysis tools. Exposure to design and development of Control and Interface products, hardware design, embedded software (BIOS and boot code), application software (MATLAB/Simulink compiled apps) and manufacturing and production test. Purpose of the Role An exciting opportunity for an early career Product Manager who thrives in a fast paced, technical environment and has a strong passion for Motorsport and advanced technology. You will help identify customer challenges-both now and in the future-and support how our products deliver value to solve those challenges. Working closely with engineering teams, you will contribute to managing product portfolio(s) and help create value for customers and the business. You'll support the full product lifecycle, from discovery through to launch, while learning how to prioritise backlogs and navigate technical decision making. You will gain exposure to a wide range of Motorsport programmes, including Formula 1, NASCAR, IndyCar, Formula E and MotoGP. Products include both hardware and software components, giving you the chance to grow your technical understanding across multiple disciplines.
