As Principal Enterprise Architect (Data), you'll play a leading role in shaping how trusted company data is designed, governed and reused at national scale, supporting services accessed by millions of users every day. This is a senior technical leadership role where your decisions will directly influence: How data is treated as a core enterprise asset How legacy and modern systems work together How trust, interoperability and reuse are built into data by design What you'll be doing As Principal Enterprise Architect (Data), you will: Set the enterprise level directionfor data architecture and strategy Define and govern data models, standards and integration approaches Design architectures that work across legacy systems, cloud platforms and third party services Act as the authoritative voice on enterprise data, providing assurance and guidance across programmes and projects Enable secure, trusted and reusable data across the organisation Work closely with architects, delivery teams and senior stakeholders to reduce risk and improve data quality Influence long term transformation while supporting immediate delivery needs Your technical impact You'll lead work across: Enterprise and domain data modelling Canonical data definitions and integration patterns Data governance, quality, ownership and lifecycle management APIs, distributed services and interoperability Secure handling of personal and sensitive data Alignment with legal, regulatory and policy requirements You'll also provide specialist advice on: Data migrations and legacy transformation Platform and tooling decisions Enterprise standards and architectural assurance
