Overview We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join our growing IT team supporting schools across an Academy Trust based in and around Uttoxeter. Key Responsibilities Provide 1st and 2nd line support across the business Support Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and Windows environments Assist with Windows Server and Hyper-V administration Support networking, switching and firewall infrastructure Manage user accounts, devices and endpoint technologies Assist with backup, disaster recovery and cyber security Support telephony, CCTV and manufacturing technology Work with third-party suppliers Contribute to infrastructure improvements and IT projects Maintain technical documentation and procedures Technology Environment Microsoft 365 Entra ID (Azure AD) Intune Autopilot Windows Server Hyper-V SonicWall Microsoft Defender Networking & Switching Backup & Disaster Recovery CCTV ERP-integrated manufacturing systems We're Interested In You'll probably already be working as a: IT Systems Engineer IT Support Engineer Senior IT Support Engineer 2nd Line Engineer 3rd Line Engineer Systems Administrator Infrastructure Engineer Technical Support Engineer Manufacturing experience would be advantageous but isn't essential. More important is someone who enjoys learning, takes ownership of problems and wants to continue developing technically whilst progressing into a broader operational role. Why Apply?
