You ll spend three days per week on-site acting as the go-to IT contact for your allocated schools, with the remaining two days based in Burnley alongside the Service Desk team. This is a role with real ownership not just reacting to tickets, but building relationships and providing proactive, hands-on support. There s genuine progression here. We ve seen people join at 1st Line and develop into senior technical roles and even Service Manager level within the business. The management team are big on upskilling their engineers, investing in training and giving people exposure to projects and more responsibility as they grow. If you re ambitious and want more than just a static support role, this environment will suit you. Day to day You ll support Microsoft 365 environments, servers and desktops, assist with Azure and wider Microsoft cloud technologies, and troubleshoot networking issues across DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP. You ll work across VMware and Hyper-V, manage tickets within SLA, liaise with third parties and see issues through to resolution. Who we are looking for You ll have 2 3 years MSP experience and be operating at strong 1st or 2nd Line level. Solid Microsoft 365 knowledge is essential, alongside good infrastructure fundamentals and the confidence to work independently on-site. You ll need to be friendly, approachable and genuinely enjoy the customer-facing side of the role. This suits someone who likes being out in the field, building rapport with school staff and becoming a trusted IT contact. A full UK driving licence is required and an Enhanced DBS will be arranged.
