How to interpret VHF/RF/Microwave systems. How to work with Optical Fibre including cable preparation, OTDR testing and how to interpretate the results. Learn all about IP routers and networks. Learn about the project requirements of Telents customers and contracts and understanding how to fulfil those needs Understand requirements of the different customers and contracts and how to fulfil those needs How to complete risk assessments To become part of a UK wide field force. Learn and implement health and safety standards and regulations. On some occasions, you will be working in Emergency Services locations and/or working on and around various emergency service vehicles. We don't require individuals with experience as we will provide full training in all aspects of the role from how to use tools/equipment to working at heights to ensuring safe working practises. We are looking for candidates with the right attitude, commitment, and desire to learn. You will get a vehicle, mobile phone, laptop, personal protective equipment as part of the role Although supported throughout the programme by us at Telent you will need to take ownership of your tasks and personal development Communication is vital; you will need to be an effective communicator both in writing and verbally Have a logical approach and enjoy problem solving Be able to undertake physically demanding work and possess normal colour vision. The Role As a Digital Apprenticeship Development Coach, you'll help apprentices to complete telecoms or unified comms apprenticeships and take that vital first step towards an exciting career. Supporting learners based throughout England, you will encourage them to fulfil their potential and meet the requirements of their qualification. While COVID-19 restrictions are in place, you'll provide support remotely. Once it's safe to do so, you'll visit apprentices in person (occasional overnight stays may be required). Specifically, you will: - Make sure that learner action plans and review processes are completed to a high standard - Build rapport with learners and identify how to support them to perform at their best - Support quality assurance procedures to ensure we continue to deliver the best service possible About You To be considered as a Digital Apprenticeship Development Coach, you will need: - Experience and expertise in telecoms and or unified comms - Evidence of Continual Professional Development (CPD) - Strong time management skills - Excellent organisational and planning abilities - Great communication skills and a strong customer focus - A full driving licence and access to a vehicle that is taxed and insured for business use Ideally, you'll also hold an assessor (such as D32/D33, A1 or CAVA) qualification, but this isn't essential. You may have previously worked as a Telecoms Engineer, Unified Comms Engineer, Telecommunications Engineer, or Unified Communications Technician. Other organisations may call this role Technical Skills Coach, Development Coach, IT Apprenticeship Coach, Digital Apprenticeship Assessor, Apprenticeship Assessor, or Apprenticeship Coach.
