Investigate alerts and incidents in the Defender XDR portal using KQL advanced hunting; build custom detections, suppression rules, and automated playbooks. SIEM and SOAR - Microsoft Sentinel Operate Microsoft Sentinel for the estate: data connectors (M365, Entra, Defender XDR, Azure Activity, Office 365, Threat Intelligence, Syslog/CEF), workspace architecture, retention, and cost optimisation. Author analytics rules (scheduled, NRT, Fusion, Microsoft Security), build watchlists, threat intelligence integrations (TAXII/MISP), and User Entity Behaviour Analytics (UEBA). Develop KQL detection content aligned to MITRE ATT&CK; operate hunting queries, bookmarks, and incident investigation graphs. Build SOAR automation using Azure Logic Apps playbooks for incident enrichment, containment (eg, disable user, force password reset, isolate device), and notification. Operate the 24/7 Sentinel-based monitoring stack in collaboration with the NOC analyst function. Information Protection and Data Governance - Microsoft Purview Design and operate Microsoft Purview Information Protection: sensitivity labels, label policies, auto-labelling (client and service-side), encryption with rights management, and co-authoring on encrypted documents. Build and tune Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies for Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams chat, Endpoint DLP and Power Platform; manage policy tips, overrides, and incident review. Operate Insider Risk Management policies, content Explorer, activity Explorer, and communication compliance where in scope. Design retention policies, retention labels, and records management aligned to the customer's records retention schedules and applicable public-sector records management frameworks. Operate eDiscovery (Standard and Premium): cases, holds, collections, reviews, custodian management, and chain-of-custody documentation. Operate Microsoft Purview Data Map, Data Catalog, and Data Estate Insights for the Microsoft Fabric/Power BI estate, including lineage, classification scans, and Data Loss Prevention for Fabric. Maintain audit and reporting using Purview Audit (Standard/Premium), Compliance Manager templates (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2), and customer-managed Compliance Manager assessments. Identity Security and Zero Trust Define and maintain the Conditional Access policy baseline using a documented policy framework (Persona-based or Microsoft Zero Trust deployment guidance), including emergency/break-glass access, named locations, and report-only validation. Operate Entra ID Protection - sign-in risk, user risk, risk policies, and risk investigation - including alignment with Defender XDR for unified incident view. Govern privileged access via PIM, role-assignable groups, access reviews, and Just-In-Time elevation; co-own break-glass account procedures with the AD/Entra Specialist. Operate Entra Permissions Management (CIEM) where licensed, providing visibility of multi-cloud permission risk. Compliance and Audit Maintain ISO 27001 control evidence and align with the customer's certification and surveillance audits; act as the technical lead for any audit observation related to the Microsoft estate. Maintain GDPR records of processing, support Data Protection Impact Assessments for new applications, and operate technical and organisational measures (TOMs). Map controls to NIST CSF, NIS2 (where applicable as an essential/important entity), and Microsoft Secure Score/Identity Secure Score; maintain a target posture and quarterly improvement plan. Produce monthly security KPIs for the SLA report - Secure Score trend, MFA coverage, DLP incidents, phishing simulation results, vulnerability remediation, patch compliance - and quarterly executive risk reports. Microsoft Copilot and AI Governance Operate the security envelope for Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio including SharePoint sharing hygiene ("oversharing"), sensitivity-label-aware grounding, restricted SearchableContent, and Copilot interaction audit log review. Define and enforce a Responsible AI policy aligned with Microsoft's Responsible AI Standard - fairness, reliability, safety, privacy, security, inclusiveness, transparency, and accountability. Permanent position London (Victoria) - 5 days per week onsite p to £120,000 Head of Architecture and Security London (Victoria) Up to £120,000 Full-time, office-based We are looking for a technically credible, delivery-focused Head of Architecture and Security to join a Group ICT function operating across multiple European businesses. This is a senior leadership role combining genuine enterprise architecture authority with practical security ownership and hands-on delivery oversight - not a theoretical or governance-only position. Reporting to the Group IT Director and line managing the Technical Engineering Manager, you will set architecture direction across a hybrid estate, own application integration architecture across the Group, drive M365 and End User Computing strategy, and make proportionate security decisions that enable the business rather than block it. The organisation values pace, pragmatism, and outcomes. This is a role for someone who turns ambiguous problems into clear options and drives decisions through to delivered results. What you'll do Establish and maintain clear architecture views across the Group's hybrid environment - on-premise infrastructure, Azure cloud, Microsoft 365, identity, and security - that are genuinely useful to both engineers and senior business stakeholders. Own the Group's application integration architecture: set integration standards, understand how systems across the businesses connect and exchange data, and challenge approaches that are inconsistent, fragile, or undocumented. Convert ambiguous business and technical problems into workable solution designs with clear options, trade-offs, and recommendations. Set strategic direction for Microsoft 365 and End User Computing, ensuring the platform's capabilities are understood and exploited before new technology is proposed. Own security strategy and risk-based decision-making for the ICT function, embedding security pragmatically across architecture, delivery, and operations. Drive delivery pace by simplifying decision-making, removing blockers, and creating clear, executable plans that teams can act upon. Line manage the Technical Engineering Manager, setting expectations, reviewing performance, and developing their leadership capability. Represent the ICT function confidently with senior business stakeholders, vendors, and in technical governance discussions. What we're looking for Demonstrable enterprise architecture capability: experience producing architecture views, setting coherent direction across a hybrid estate, and making pragmatic design choices about cloud migration and on-premise retention. Strong strategic depth across Microsoft 365 and identity: tenant-level governance, Conditional Access, device posture, identity governance, and data protection. Security strategy and risk-based decision-making: a proven ability to own proportionate security decisions across infrastructure, cloud, identity, and operations in a commercially aware way. Broad infrastructure credibility: sufficient understanding of on-premise infrastructure - Servers, storage, networking, virtualisation, and resilience - to challenge engineering proposals and set direction. Azure cloud architecture understanding, including hybrid integration, governance, and migration sequencing. Leadership through influence, not hands-on execution: clear evidence of setting direction, coaching teams, and delivering results through others. Experience managing senior technical staff, setting expectations, and holding direct reports accountable for delivery and team outcomes. Clear, effective communication: the ability to explain complex topics simply and produce artefacts - diagrams, design documents, decision records - that people actually use. A delivery-focused mindset: someone who turns problems into decisions and outcomes quickly, drives momentum, and holds teams to timelines. Senior presence and interpersonal skills: confident operating at a senior level, professional and sociable, comfortable engaging across technical and business functions. Desirable Interest in and awareness of practical AI and automation adoption within ICT functions. Experience in regulated financial services environments. Experience operating across multiple European jurisdictions. The role in brief Reports to: Group IT Director Direct reports: Technical Engineering Manager Location: Victoria, London - office-based, five days per week Salary: Up to £120,000 Contract: Full-time, permanent If you are a senior architecture and security leader who combines technical credibility with clear communication and a genuine drive for delivery, we would be pleased to hear from you. The Senior Solutions Architect will own the end to end design of complex customer or prospect solutions built on top of our social media management platform, with a strong focus on integrations, workflows, and measurable business value. This person will act as the bridge between customer facing teams (mostly AMs and AEs) and Product & Tech: translating client use cases and operational constraints into robust technical architectures, and turning those architectures into clear, actionable briefs for our product managers and engineering teams. In line with Hootsuite's distributed workforce strategy, our flexible work arrangement allows for remote work. This role is open to applicants located in London, England, United Kingdom and Luxembourg, Luxembourg. In this role, you will report to the Solutions Director. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Participate in strategic client / prospect meetings and discovery workshops with strategic/enterprise accounts to understand business objectives, current tools, and operational constraints. Challenge and refine client requirements, uncovering underlying needs and proposing pragmatic solutions grounded in our platform capabilities. Articulate complex technical concepts in simple, non technical language to senior business stakeholders (CMO, Head of Social, Customer Care, Digital, Data teams). Act as a trusted advisor on topics such as social data architecture, governance, workflow design, and integration strategy notably on RFP or RFI. Lead the design of end to end solutions that leverage our core platform capabilities (publishing, engagement, listening, analytics, governance) and integrate with external systems (CRM, customer care platforms, marketing automation, data warehouses, BI tools, etc.). Translate complex integration requirements (APIs, webhooks, SSO, data sync, custom workflows) into user centric, value oriented solution designs. Produce clear architecture artefacts when needed: solution blueprints, sequence diagrams, data flow diagrams, and configuration guides. Evaluate feasibility, risks, and trade offs of different solution approaches, always balancing speed, robustness, and scalability. Translate client and operational needs into structured, actionable briefs for Product and Engineering: Clear problem statements and business context. Detailed functional and non functional requirements. Edge cases, constraints, and acceptance criteria. Work closely with Product Managers to prioritise requirements, shape roadmaps, and assess build vs configure vs integrate options. Partner with Engineering to validate technical designs, refine implementation details, and ensure solutions we would be pushing to our clients or prospects are aligned with platform architecture and standards or alternatively set guardrails and manage expectations. Provide feedback loops from the field back into the product: recurring patterns, blockers, integration gaps, and opportunities for new capabilities. Guide project teams (PS, Customer Success, Partner teams) during implementation as the "design authority" for the solution. Review technical configurations and integration setups to ensure they adhere to the agreed architecture and best practices. Help define standards, patterns, and reusable assets (templates, reference architectures, integration playbooks) that make future projects faster and more consistent. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Extensive years of experience in a relevant role: Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineer, Senior Solutions Consultant, Technical Consultant, or similar in a SaaS / digital platform environment. Strong experience with integration heavy solutions involving APIs, webhooks, SSO/identity, and data pipelines. Experience working with at least some of the following: CRM (Salesforce, Dynamics, HubSpot, etc.), contact centre / ticketing tools (Zendesk, ServiceNow, etc.), marketing automation, CDP/DMP, data warehouses/BI tools. Background in social media / digital marketing / customer care platforms is a strong plus, ideally with tools like Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Sprout, Khoros, Brandwatch, Talkwalker, etc. Proven track record acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ideally in a role reporting into a Solutions / Professional Services / Customer Success organization. Solid understanding of modern web and SaaS architectures: RESTful APIs, webhooks, OAuth/SSO, microservices, event driven workflows. Ability to read API documentation, reason about data models, and specify integration patterns (batch vs real time, push vs pull, error handling, monitoring). Comfort discussing technical topics with engineers (data structures, rate limits, performance considerations) even if you are not the one writing production code. Familiarity with data concepts: data mapping, normalization, basic SQL or BI concepts, and how social data flows into broader customer data ecosystems. Strong ability to translate technical possibilities and limitations into clear business impacts and trade offs. User and value oriented mindset: always able to answer "who is this for, what changes for them, and how do we measure success?". Comfortable working in a fast moving environment with evolving requirements; able to iterate quickly while maintaining architectural rigor. Customer Focus: Demonstrated desire to proactively help internal/external customers meet their needs. Open Communication: clearly conveys thoughts, both written and verbally, listening attentively and asking questions for clarification and understanding. Our mission is simple: to attract the brightest talent, people like you, to Elevate the Craft and do the most impactful work of your career. As we scale our global reach, we are seeking a DataOps Engineer to architect the "Golden Path" for our data infrastructure. You will transform how we manage the data powering Panopto for 10+ million users by replacing manual database management with automated, code-driven pipelines that enable seamless growth and rapid innovation. Position Summary In this role, you will have the opportunity to do the most impactful work of your career, elevating your craft while contributing to a team that values lifelong learning. You will engineer the lifecycle of our most critical asset: data. Your mission is to bridge the gap between Operational, Analytics, and AI data layers by treating infrastructure as code. You'll eliminate bottlenecks in our AWS-hosted SQL Server environment, building automated, reliable pathways that ensure data is not just delivered, but is architecturally optimized for both real-time operations and long-term machine learning scalability. You'll also have opportunities to contribute to other initiatives that directly advance our core values and support you in elevating your craft. How You'll Contribute In this role, you will have the opportunity to Engineer the Data Lifecycle: You will design and implement the "Golden Path" for data, ensuring seamless transitions between operational SQL environments, analytics warehouses, and AI-ready data sets. Implement Data as Code: You'll move beyond manual administration by treating our AWS-hosted MS SQL infrastructure as a version-controlled, automated ecosystem using CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Architect Multi-Layer Reliability: You will build the frameworks that guarantee data quality and availability across all tiers-from high-concurrency operational databases to the complex feature stores used by our AI and Machine Learning models. Optimize for Scalability & Performance: You'll identify and resolve architectural bottlenecks in our massive SQL Server environment, ensuring the system can handle the high-throughput demands of modern SaaS analytics. Standardize Data Observability: You will develop advanced monitoring and alerting strategies that provide deep visibility into data health, ensuring that operational and analytical layers remain performant and trustworthy. Bridge the Engineering Gap: You'll collaborate with Software Engineers and Data Scientists to ensure the data architecture supports both rapid product iteration and long-term research initiatives. How We Thrive You'll join a team of talented engineers-from DevOps to Design-where we challenge ideas, not people. We believe our success depends on our Collective Wisdom, supporting each other through complex projects and celebrating continuous improvement. The Foundation for Success The DataOps Mindset: You have 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Database Administration, with a passion for migrating legacy data systems into modern, automated workflows. AWS & SQL Mastery: You bring deep expertise in managing MS SQL Server on AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, CloudWatch). Automation Fluency: You are proficient in Python, Bash, or PowerShell and have a working knowledge of C# to build robust automation scripts that bridge the gap between application and data. Outcome-Oriented: You Act with Ownership, focusing on results that improve the daily quality of life for the entire engineering team. What Success Looks Like Within 6 Months (Integration & Audit): You will have completed an audit of our data deployment processes and identified the top three bottlenecks in our current release cycle. Within 1 Year (Measurable Impact): You will have implemented automated CI/CD for database schema changes, leading to a measurable reduction in deployment-related downtime. Your Legacy (Full Ownership): You will own the "Data as Code" strategy, ensuring our data layer is as agile and resilient as our application layer. As a DataOps Engineer, you aren't just managing a database; you are building the automated engine that ensures knowledge is accessible, secure, and reliable at a global scale.
