The Role:
We are looking for a MI SQL Reporting Developer / Data Analyst responsible for handling the company’s on-going reporting requirements from their Microsoft SQL Server databases. Your primary responsibilities will be to mine the required data from the company’s databases and create specific reports as required in Microsoft PowerBI and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). In the case where the required data does not exist your role will include specifying to the internal development team changes to systems that will allow the required data to be gathered or cleansed.
Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, and team work is essential.
This role is suited to a candidate with BSc Computer Science/ MCA / MSC background who has been a Microsoft SQL Server Developer or DBA for two or more years.
What we are looking for:
Essential:
> Comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012/2014.
> Commercial database administration with recent production database administration experience
> Experience of mining data
> Proficiency with Microsoft SSRS Tools
> Ability to analyse data to create new reports for operational use
> Strong demonstrable T-SQL experience including functions, stored procedures
> Knowledge of Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables
> Understanding of relational data
> Ability to translate user requirements to functional reports
Highly Desirable:
> Excellent people skills & work well in a team
> Good verbal communication with a BA mind (Exceptional problem solving abilities)
> Ability to think clearly and make good decisions under pressure
> Excellent analytical and report writing skills
> Ability to update and amend existing databases
> Ability to optimise existing queries
> Experience in setting up and testing new database and data handling systems
> Skills in Database monitoring, tuning and performance management
> Ability to create complex query definitions that allow data to be extracted
> Good excel skills
> Experience in using Microsoft PowerBI
> Experience setting up a data warehousing solution

> Skills in database design and architecture
> DBA experience
> Experience working at database level with Microsoft Dynamics
> Experience working within Jira
> Experience working with remote offshore teams
> Experience of sustaining the security and integrity of data
> Advanced excel skills (VLook-Ups, Macros etc)
> Advanced PowerBI Skills (or similar data analytics tool)
> Experience setting up a reporting dashboard solution
> Experience working with Integration Platform solutions such as MuleSoft
> Any experience handling data within or for mobile applications
