Service Desk NOC Engineer - Mobile 2G 3G 4G experience required
Based Slough / Maidenhead
£35K + 10% Bonus or £5K shift allowance (if you take part in 24/7 shift pattern)
Our client is a managed services provider who provides services across network security and network management. They have signed a multimillion pound contract with a leading UK mobile network provider and they need 2 NOC engineers. One based on the end client site in Slough to manage the solution and customer queries and one based in our clients office in Maidenhead.
Job description
* Incident Management
* Provide onsite client support in a helpdesk / service desk capacity via phone and email
* Liaise with vendors and other members of the technical department to find solutions to tickets
* Understanding customer needs and requirements and coming up with solutions to their problems
* Configuration and support of network monitoring solutions
Desired skills and experience
* Experience working in a customer facing NOC role, needs to be customer focused
* Previous experience of working with mobile technologies such as 2G /3G /4G LTE
* VoIP and related standards (SIP, H.323, SS7, SIGTRAN)
* Solid knowledge and experience of TCPIP networking
* Linux / Unix skills would be advantageous
* OSS background would be advantageous
