Test Development Engineer / Automated Tester (Test Automation, Agile/Scrum, TDD, Developer) 6 Month Contract Edinburgh, Scotland Central Belt £(Apply online only)/day (depending on experience) KEY SKILLS: Development in Test, Automated Tester, Test Development Engineer, Automation, Agile/Scrum, Software Development, TDD, Developer Test Analyst with strong experience in Development and Automated Testing to work on an initial 6 month contract within a Public Sector organisation under Agile methodology. The Test Analyst will provide feedback on the soundness of proposed solutions and ensure that these are fit for purpose. The Test Analyst must have worked on Agile projects and will perform manual testing, record results and log defects. Experience Required: - Passionate about automated testing and software development - Excellent testing and/or development experience - Excellent analytical skills - Good working knowledge of Java or Python - Experienced in building and maintaining test automation frameworks - Understanding of structured test methods and processes - Excellent team worker especially with development and business - Effective and concise communication - Challenging and enquiring mind - Attention to detail and persistence - Understanding of common software failures and faults - Ability to effectively prioritise work and manage stress - Understanding of risk based approach to testing - Understanding of value of test automation in the Agile environments - Understanding of database concept and ability to write basic SQL queries - Understanding of non-functional aspects of web application testing - such as UI, Accessibility, Security and Performance - Experience working in the Agile projects - Experience using BDD approach to software development Please send your CV before 9am, Friday 9th September for immediate consideration.
