2nd Line Network Engineer

Network Engineer Lincoln, Lincolnshire To 30k DOE + On Call Allowance Experienced Cisco Network Engineer required for a client based in Lincoln. Commutable from Sleaford, Newark and Grantham Operating with a multi-client, multi data centre environment, the Network Engineer is responsible for the some design, pre-sales implementation, configuration and 2nd line support for large scale network infrastructures. Required skills, qualifications and experience: Demonstrable experience in pre-sales design, implementation, configuration and supporting large corporate or data centre network Current, hands-on network support; preferably in a multi-client, service provider environment. Strong technical knowledge of LAN/WAN network equipment (Cisco, Juniper, Fortigate), Technologies, protocols and communication standards Strong experience of TCP/IP, routing & switching Experience of managing high volumes of tickets Ideally experience of BGP, OSPF, HSRP and PVST MPLS core networking and networking monitoring nice to have.
