Network Specialist Engineer/CCNP needed based in Hemel Hempstead.
Where this role sites: To provide Change Management Services and technical escalation support for managed service customers.
Job purpose:
Maintain technical lead for nominated managed service customer accounts.
Maintain and develop currency and relevance of technical competence, with Avaya and Cisco, seeking and applying relevant training opportunities, self-learning and best practice
Skills required:
Experience as a Networking Specialist Engineer in a Customer Service/Managed Service environment
Working knowledge and adherence to ISO27001 guideline
Specialised knowledge of routing and switching
Routinely manage complex changes and networking problems in specialist areas LAN, WAN and VPN/Security
Good knowledge of Cisco or Avaya IPT and converged network environments
Routing protocols eg BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP etc...
Cisco routing and switching platforms and configs
Commissioning experience remotely with on-site engineer
