Programme Manager - Network
RELAY Technologies
Relay is fundamentally reshaping how goods move in an online era. Backed by Europe's largest-ever logistics Series A ($35M), led by deep-tech investors Plural (whose portfolio spans fusion energy and space exploration), Relay is scaling faster than 99.98% of venture-backed startups. We're assembling the most talent-dense team the logistics industry has ever seen Relay's Mission is to free commerce from friction. Today, high delivery costs act as a hidden tax on e-commerce, quietly shaping what can be sold online and limiting who can participate. We envision a world where more goods move more freely between more people, making the online shopping experience seamless and accessible to everyone. Team 110 people, more than half in engineering, product and data 45+ advanced degrees across computer science, mathematics and operations research Thousands of data points captured, calculated, analysed and predicted for every single parcel we handle An intellectually vibrant culture of first principles thinking, tight feedback loops and relentless experimentation The Opportunity Relay's Network squad builds the forecasting engine that powers every operational decision in the business. Demand forecasts drive shift release in sortation. Expansion models determine where the network grows. Parcel intelligence feeds route planning and vehicle loading. When the squad ships a better model, the impact multiplies across five consuming squads, Finance, and ultimately Relay's cost per parcel. The squad is growing from four people to ten: Data Scientists, Analysts, and a Software Engineer, each contributing to a system that spans demand forecasting, expansion modelling, parcel dimensions, sortation predictions, and demand management. That system has dependencies on Sortation, Middle Mile, Last Mile, Routing, and Commercial - plus Finance, who extend the operational forecasts into longer-range financial projections. It also supports four embedded analysts sitting in other squads across the business. As Programme Manager for the Network squad, you coordinate the delivery of this system. The role involves taking the squad's roadmap and turning it into a structured programme - tracking commitments, managing cross-squad dependencies, removing blockers, and keeping stakeholders informed. The specifics of the programme will develop as you ramp up and learn how the squad and its consuming teams work together. The squad lead sets technical direction and manages people. You work alongside them to keep the programme on track, supported by a team that values coordination and wants to deliver well. Relay operates a centralised data team of around 30 data engineers, analysts, and data scientists. The Network squad sits within this team and serves every operational squad in the business. You will work with the squad lead, the Data Scientists and analysts in the squad, and the leads of the five consuming squads. What You'll Do Coordinate the delivery programme for the Network squad: roadmap tracking, sprint management, cross-squad coordination, and dependency management across a 10-person team Manage dependencies with five consuming squads (Sortation, Middle Mile, Last Mile, Routing, Commercial) and Finance, ensuring that what Network delivers matches what those teams need and when they need it Run the squad's delivery cadence: cycle planning, triage, standups, retros, and cross-functional syncs Track commitments and surface risks early - identifying which initiatives are on track, which are slipping, and what needs to change Remove blockers that sit outside the squad: engineering dependencies, data access, stakeholder alignment, prioritisation conflicts with other squads Coordinate the work of four embedded analysts in other squads (Routing, Sortation, Middle Mile, and one TBC), ensuring alignment with Network's priorities Keep stakeholders informed with regular updates on what's shipped, what's in progress, and what's changed Support the squad lead by taking on operational coordination, freeing them to focus on technical direction, model quality, and strategic relationships Who Will Thrive in This Role? You have at least 5 years of experience in programme management, delivery management, or a similar coordination role, ideally in a technical or data-heavy environment. You have experience managing multiple workstreams. You have experience working in technical environments even if you're not a data scientist yourself. You can follow a conversation about model accuracy, forecast horizons, and pipeline reliability enough to know when something is blocked, behind, or being under-scoped. The squad will help you build domain knowledge as you ramp up. You have experience tracking commitments and following up when things stall. You bring structure to how teams track and deliver their work. You have experience coordinating across teams without direct authority - helping squads understand what's expected and when. You have experience communicating with stakeholders at different levels - giving a squad lead a quick update on a dependency, giving senior leadership a picture of the programme's health, and giving a Data Scientist an answer on when their work will be prioritised. You have experience managing dependencies and how work connects across teams. You plan for how one squad's timeline affects another's. Experience in logistics, data platforms, or forecasting environments is a plus, but what matters more is the ability to learn a complex technical domain quickly and manage a programme within it effectively. Who Thrives at Relay? Aim with Precision: You define problems clearly and measure your impact meticulously. Play to Win: You chase bold bets, tackle the hard stuff, and view constraints as fuel, not friction. 1% Better Every Day: You believe that small, consistent improvements lead to exponential growth. You move quickly, deliver results, and learn from every experience. All In, All the Time: You show up and step up. You take ownership from start to finish and do what it takes to deliver when it counts. People-Powered Greatness: You invest in your teammates. You give and receive feedback with care and candour. You build trust through high standards and shared success. Grow the Whole Pie: You seek out win win solutions for merchants, couriers, and our customers, because when they thrive, so do we. If these resonate, and you combine strong technical fundamentals with entrepreneurial drive, let's connect. Relay is an equal-opportunity employer committed to diversity, inclusion, and fostering a workplace where everyone thrives.

Staff Software Engineer
UnlikelyAI
Staff Software Engineer At UnlikelyAI, we are building the future of AI: one that is reliable, accurate, and transparent. Our neurosymbolic technology harnesses the power of LLMs and generative AI, and combines it with Universal Language - our proprietary symbolic technology that bridges the gap between probabilistic machine learning and deterministic classical computing. Our products are already in use with major enterprises - including tier-1 banks and leading accountancy firms - across audit, compliance, and financial services. In compliance, we combine symbolic decision trees with LLM-powered evidence extraction to catch errors in financial reporting that human reviewers miss. In financial services, we use neurosymbolic guardrails to deliver accurate and explainable outcomes at scale. We are now building toward a platform - a public API and platform experience that will make our core neurosymbolic capabilities available to a broader set of customers and use cases. This is a pivotal moment: we're transitioning from bespoke customer engagements into a scalable product platform, and we need exceptional engineers to help us get there. The Role We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to help shape the technical direction of our platform as we scale. This is a role for someone who combines deep hands on engineering ability with the judgement and influence to drive architecture and engineering quality across teams. You'll be one of our most experienced individual contributors - someone the team looks to for guidance on hard technical decisions, system design, and long term technical strategy. You'll spend most of your time writing code and solving complex problems, but you'll also be expected to identify the highest leverage work across squads, mentor other engineers, and raise the bar for how we build software. Our core capabilities span symbolic reasoning (decision trees, propositional graphs, knowledge graphs), document ingestion pipelines, and the APIs that expose these to customers. You'll work on genuinely novel problems at the intersection of classical symbolic AI and modern LLMs - for example, how to represent regulatory knowledge as machine evaluable rules, or how to build feedback loops that improve system accuracy over time. You'll work within a shared monorepo alongside software engineers, research engineers, and applied scientists in a heavily cross functional environment. We operate in small, focused product teams, supported by shared infrastructure, internal tooling, and an R&D function. What You Might Work On In your first months, you could find yourself working on any of the following: Defining the architecture for our new public API - making foundational decisions about authentication, scalability, versioning, and developer experience that will shape the platform for years. Leading the design and implementation of our document ingestion pipelines to handle new input formats (e.g. PDF, Word) and new regulatory jurisdictions at scale. Designing evaluation frameworks and benchmarks to measure and improve system accuracy - and establishing these as engineering norms across teams. Driving improvements to our deployment architecture for enterprise customers with specific cloud and security requirements. Owning the technical strategy for internal tooling and developer experience across the monorepo - identifying bottlenecks and leading initiatives to address them. Working on the symbolic reasoning engine that powers our products - including decision tree evaluation, rule generation, and knowledge graph construction. Identifying and leading cross cutting technical initiatives that improve reliability, performance, or engineering velocity across the organisation. You'll be successful here if you have deep expertise in Python, including writing well typed, well tested code in a collaborative codebase, and strong opinions on how to structure Python projects at scale. you have a proven track record in system design and architecture - you've made foundational technical decisions that shaped the trajectory of a product or platform. you've tackled complex algorithms and data structures and have experience working with non trivial algorithmic problems at scale. you care deeply about production quality engineering - you don't just advocate for software quality, you actively set the standards and build the culture around it. you have a track record of technical leadership - you've influenced technical direction across multiple teams or projects without necessarily having direct reports. you have significant experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) - services such as S3, ECR, ECS/EKS, and infrastructure managed via Terraform or similar - and can make informed architectural decisions about deployment and scalability. you have a bias for action - you move quickly, make informed decisions, and iterate without waiting for perfect information. you have a relevant degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or STEM - or equivalent practical experience. Other skills You don't need to tick every box below, but any of the following would strengthen your application: Monorepo experience - comfortable working in and improving a large, shared codebase with multiple product teams contributing. CI/CD pipelines - hands on experience with GitHub Actions or similar, ideally including designing and optimising CI infrastructure. Experience with document processing pipelines - PDF parsing, OCR, structured data extraction. Familiarity with knowledge representation - decision trees, knowledge graphs, ontologies, or symbolic reasoning systems. Experience with LLM integration in production systems - prompt engineering, evaluation, working with APIs such as Gemini, Claude, or OpenAI. Frontend experience with React and TypeScript - we value engineers who can contribute across the stack when needed. Experience in regulated industries - fintech, audit, compliance, insurance, or banking. Familiarity with the modern Python tooling ecosystem: uv for package management, ruff for linting, pyright or similar type checkers. Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog. Experience mentoring engineers and helping teams grow their technical capabilities. How We Work We're a team of around 30 people based primarily in the UK. We operate a hybrid working policy, with three days a week in our Central London office. Engineering is organised into product focused squads, supported by shared infrastructure and an R&D function. We work in a monorepo, deploy to AWS, and care deeply about developer experience - we're actively investing in modernising our tooling, CI, and repository structure. We run hackathons, we have strong opinions about code quality (held loosely), and we ship often. Our culture is collaborative and low ego: engineers regularly move between teams, pair on hard problems, and contribute ideas regardless of seniority. We take the work seriously, but not ourselves.

Why Join HP Wolf Security HP Wolf Security is central to HP's strategy in the PC market, with security designed into hardware, firmware, and software. This integrated approach enables HP to differentiate through built in, enterprise grade protection and manageability. This role sits at the heart of that strategy, helping deliver the tools that allow customers to deploy, manage, and trust secure PCs at scale. The primary focus of the HP Wolf Security team is developing cyber security solutions to protect our customers' devices and data. That micro virtualization technology forms a key pillar in a wider cyber security suite that we're actively developing. Our History Inspired by the isolation principles of traditional virtualization, HP's team known then as Bromium created a game changing technology called micro virtualization to protect end users against advanced malware. Every task the user performs, such as opening a document or clicking on a link, is isolated in its own micro VM, with access to just the resources required for that task, and existing just for the life of the task. Protection is thus provided through isolation, without relying on detection, hence reliably defending the user from polymorphic and even zero day malware. Senior Software Developer
Halliburton Abingdon, Oxfordshire
We are looking for the right people - people who want to innovate, achieve, grow and lead. We attract and retain the best talent by investing in our employees and empowering them to develop themselves and their careers. Experience the challenges, rewards and opportunity of working for one of the world's largest providers of products and services to the global energy industry. Job Duties About Landmark Landmark, a Halliburton company, builds the software and data platforms that help the global energy industry make better decisions. Our products span subsurface interpretation, well construction planning, reservoir simulation, production optimization, and digital operations. These are tools used daily by engineers and scientists at the world's largest energy companies and run as cloud-native SaaS platforms and as enterprise on-premises solutions. About the Role You own the full development cycle for the features and systems your team assigns you. At Landmark, that means working on software that oil and gas operators depend on for high-stakes decisions. You take a feature from specification through design, implementation, testing, and delivery with minimal supervision and enough judgment to make good technical decisions along the way. You contribute to code reviews, improve the codebase and processes around you without waiting to be asked, and help junior engineers grow. The quality of what you build shows up in production software used by operators worldwide. Strong software engineering fundamentals are the primary requirement. Domain knowledge is valuable but can develop on the job. Positions are available across a range of teams. Team assignment determines both the product domain you work in and the major technologies you use. Teams build software for domains such as: Geoscience - geology, geophysics, or petrophysics Drilling engineering and well planning Reservoir engineering and modeling Production engineering and optimization E&P data management and integration Cloud and platform infrastructure, data services, and developer tooling AI-assisted analytics, search, and generative AI Technologies used vary by team and include: Languages such as Java, C#, F#, C++, Python, and TypeScript Frameworks, platforms, and runtimes such as .NET, Eclipse RCP/SWT, JUnit, Angular, React, and Node.js Cloud platforms including Azure and AWS Containerization and orchestration tooling such as Docker and Kubernetes Infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and Argo CD/Flux Relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and MongoDB What You Will Do Own features end to end: analyze requirements, design solutions, write the code, test it, and ship it Break complex specifications into concrete tasks with realistic schedules and flag risks early Proactively identify and fix weaknesses in the codebase, the test coverage, and the development process Investigate and resolve production defects, and trace root cause when symptom and source are not in the same place Apply secure coding practices, surface vulnerabilities in code reviews, and fix security issues as they arise Review code from other engineers with the same rigor you expect on your own work Evaluate and integrate open-source tools and libraries where they improve the systems you work on Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and direct technical guidance Communicate clearly across a distributed, cross-timezone team Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience 5-10 years of software development experience Strong proficiency in at least one of: Java, C#/F# (.NET), C++, Python, or TypeScript (React/Angular/Node.js) Experience owning the full development cycle: requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and delivery Experience debugging production software and tracing root causes that span multiple components or layers Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain technical decisions and trade-offs to teammates and stakeholders Preferred Experience with cloud-native development, full-stack or web application development, or data platform technologies Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure automation Background in enterprise software, SaaS platforms, or technically demanding application domains (scientific computing, real-time systems, large-scale data) Exposure to integrating machine learning, generative AI, or LLM-based components into application features Experience mentoring less experienced engineers Energy industry experience is not required but is a strong plus. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and encourage you to apply even if your experience does not match every item in the preferred list. How You Work The engineer who succeeds in this role brings independent judgment to their work and applies it consistently. You own your assignments end to end, communicate clearly when something is off track, and treat code reviews as a genuine quality tool rather than a formality. You are comfortable working across time zones, adaptable when requirements shift, and focused on delivery outcomes rather than task completion. You pick up new tools and techniques on your own, evaluate them critically, and bring the ones that work to your team. You help the engineers around you improve because you understand that team quality compounds over time. Why Landmark We build small, high-ownership teams and invest in the quality of every person on them. You will work in a business where software is the product, the work you do matters, and the standards are high. You will own real work that ships, learn from engineers who push you, and grow into the kind of engineer the team relies on. Halliburton is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
