Senior Software Engineer - Login Platform
United States Digital Space LLC
The Login Platform group covers all aspects of user authentication and experience across Terminal and Enterprise (non-Terminal) workflows. This includes teams that manage the company's Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication, user login experience, and the sessions platform used to propagate authentication and authorization context throughout the the company ecosystem. Sessions are the backbone of authorization decisions across the company. They are created from entry points including the Terminal, Mobile, Enterprise applications, Web, and more. These sessions need to include the correct entitlements, customer data, and security context so that application teams can make the accurate entitlement decisions. Whenever you access any data in the company, the information that determines what you can do and what data you can access flows through our systems! We're evolving our session and authorization infrastructure to support AI agents, MCP-based integrations, and machine-to-machine workflows across the company systems. We are hiring Senior Software Engineers for two closely related teams in London focused on session infrastructure and session lifecycle management. Where we sit We're part of Login Platform within the Platform Security organization, operating deep in the infrastructure stack. Our teams own the framework that orchestrates sessions enrichment flows, while data-owning teams provide and manage the underlying datasets. Almost every business unit at the company depends on our platform to make authorization and access-control decisions. Our software is critical to maintaining the company's reliability, compliance, and continued growth. Because of our position in the stack, we enforce security not only for others, but for ourselves as well. What you'll do As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in shaping and scaling the infrastructure that powers session creation, enrichment and authorization across the company. You will Design, build, and optimize low-latency, multi-threaded backend systems that handle session and authorization data at scale. Collaborate with multiple Engineering and Product teams to deliver a reliable and secure login experience. Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy for the Login Platform. Improve tooling, observability, scalability, and performance across critical infrastructure services. Explore and champion new ideas to evolve our systems responsibly over time. Engineers on the team are involved throughout the software lifecycle, including design, deployment, observability, incident response, and long-term platform evolution. Our technologies We work primarily in C++ and some Python, running mostly on Linux, with continued support for Solaris clients until full migration is complete. Because we sit deep in the infrastructure stack, you'll often need to balance innovation with compatibility, designing modern, robust solutions that coexist with legacy systems. You'll need to have Strong software engineering experience in C++, ideally building backend, infrastructure, platform, or systems-level software. Experience designing, building, or operating distributed backend systems, ideally in high-availability, low-latency, or infrastructure-heavy environments. Strong experience designing and building multi-threaded or concurrent applications. Experience owning software across the full lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, observability, incident response, and long-term evolution. Ability to make pragmatic system design decisions across performance, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and compatibility constraints. An eagerness to understand a large, non-trivial stack and propose incremental improvements without compromising reliability or security. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across Engineering, Product and platform-dependent teams. A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, similar field of study or equivalent work experience. We'd love to see Background in authentication, authorization, identity, access control, entitlement systems, SSO, MFA, session management, or security-sensitive infrastructure. Familiarity with systems that propagate authentication, authorization, entitlement, or security context across distributed services. A track record of building low-latency, reliable backend or infrastructure services. Hands on involvement in improving observability, scalability, performance, reliability, or operational tooling for production systems. Exposure to platform teams that support multiple internal product or application teams. Experience working across multiple business units or products, with an understanding of their operational and integration challenges. Lead DevOps Engineer
United States Digital Space LLC
The role: Joining our Cloud Platform team as a Lead DevEx Engineer, you will play a key role in improving how engineers build, ship and operate services across the company. This brand new role is created to bridge the gap between application development and platform engineering, creating a more consistent, scalable developer experience as we continue to evolve our platform strategy. You will focus on building for engineers - creating and shaping the templates, standards and foundations used across services. Alongside this, you will have the opportunity to contribute to emerging platform initiatives, including work that supports AI enablement across the engineering organisation. This is a high impact role with real scope to influence how engineering works at the company. What you'll get to do in the role: Own and evolve the service template library for .NET, Node.js and Python - covering project scaffolding, dependency management, containerisation, local development setup and production configuration. Build and maintain CI/CD pipeline templates in GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps, covering build, test, security scanning and deployment - consistent across stacks and reusable across teams. Define and ship observability standards: structured logging, distributed tracing and alerting integrated into service templates so every new service is production ready from day one. Work hands on with Datadog, incident.io and/or GCP/Azure native logging and monitoring tooling to build the platform level observability layer teams plug into. Contribute to our thinking on a potential Azure to GCP migration - helping assess changes for developer tooling and service templates and building proof of concept work that informs the decision. Partner with product engineers to understand where developer experience breaks down - slow pipelines, confusing templates, missing runbooks - and fix the root causes, not the symptoms. Lead technical decisions on platform tooling: evaluate new tools, write ADRs, and drive adoption of improvements across multiple engineering teams. Mentor engineers in the Cloud Platform team and act as a go to resource for product engineers getting to grips with platform tooling. What we think you'll need: Proficient in at least one of .NET (C#), Node.js or Python - able to build, configure and template production grade services in each. Applied Engineer (Tribal Knowledge)
Crane Venture Partners
Applied Engineer (Tribal Knowledge) Design and own the agent system that compiles an organization's tribal knowledge London / SF Full-time Engineering About Pavo Pavo is building Enterprise Superintelligence: compounding systems that take ownership of business outcomes and work with humans to deliver them. We believe that while foundation models are necessary, they are not sufficient. The hard problem is systems intelligence: end-to-end architectures that understand a company's code, data, and decisions, and improve themselves through experience. We are assembling a small, senior team of researchers and engineers obsessed with systems-first intelligence. Our current team consists of PhDs and ML engineers from top applied ML and coding agent companies, with a heritage of shipping systems at Spotify, ShareChat, and Sourcegraph scale. Our team has built impressive momentum with a small group of highly capable engineers and researchers. The Opportunity As an Applied Engineer at Pavo, you will design and own the agent system that compiles an organization's tribal knowledge - the body of knowledge that nobody has written down - from its own evidence: source code, structured data, internal documents, and conversations. You'll work hands-on at the level of agent architecture, pipeline design, and the production surface that turns a generative system into one customers can depend on. You'll partner closely with the Applied Scientist on instrumentation - but the system itself is yours. It is the most consequential thing we build, and idea to production is days. This is a senior, individual-contributor role. Everyone on the team joins as a Member of Technical Staff - with the scope, autonomy, and end-to-end ownership that title implies. What You'll Build Hierarchical Agent Architecture: Design how a main agent coordinates sub-agents, tools, and skills - deciding where deterministic scaffolding beats prompting and where prompting is the right tool. This decomposition is the single biggest determinant of whether a generative knowledge system is dependable. The Synthesis Pipeline: Own the multi-stage system that turns heterogeneous private evidence into a verifiable knowledge artifact - with the checkpoints, retries, fallbacks, and structured outputs that production reliability requires. Deployment & Rollout: Build scheduled regeneration, quality and reliability gates, blue/green rollout, and customer-facing version control of compiled knowledge artifacts. Treat each release with the seriousness it deserves. Observability & Debuggability: Structured traces of agent runs, replay/debug tooling, cost and latency budgets, and regression detection on releases. A multi-stage agent run must be debuggable by someone who didn't initiate it. Reliability as a First-Class Property: Treat run-to-run variance as a defect class equal to incorrectness, and build the engineering practice that reduces it. Eval & CI Infrastructure: Reproducible, automated evaluation that feeds signal back into the deploy loop - complementary to the experimental harness on the science side. What We Are Looking For We are looking for an engineer who has shipped dependable production systems and is hungry to do it at the edge of what current agentic frameworks can do. Core Qualifications Senior Track Record: 8+ years building and operating production systems, including a stretch where you owned a major system or platform area end-to-end and were the engineer others came to for the hard problems. Production Engineering Chops: You ship Python systems that other engineers want to extend; you write tests that catch real bugs; you have opinions about structure, dependency boundaries, and what belongs in a library versus an application. Hands On with an Agentic Framework: Depth with at least one - Anthropic tool use, OpenAI Agents SDK, Pydantic AI, LangGraph, AutoGen, or equivalent - including its sharp edges, not just its happy path. We have no preference for which; we strongly prefer that you've been bitten by one. Strong Opinions on Agent Architecture: When to use a single-context agent versus decompose into sub agents. Where deterministic code beats prompting, and how to tell which before the third refactor. What a tool is, what a skill is, and where the line is. Deployment Pipelines for ML/LLM Systems: Experience designing and operating rollout, gating, observability, on call posture, and regression detection. Comfort with Reliability Work: The unglamorous work that turns a flaky agent into a dependable one - async Python, structured outputs, retries with sensible idempotency, and the long tail of "why did this run produce a different answer." Pragmatism About Prompts: A hard won sense of what's prompt tunable and what isn't. You've earned this opinion at least once. Preferred Qualifications Built or maintained an LLM evaluation harness in production. Familiarity with retrieval / IR systems and the engineering of large-context pipelines. Distributed systems background - workflow engines (Temporal / Airflow / Prefect), queues, and observability stacks (OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Honeycomb). Open source contributions to agentic frameworks, eval tooling, or workflow orchestration. Why Join Us Architecture Defining Work: The system you design becomes the substrate for everything we ship downstream. Short Loop: Work directly with the Applied Scientist on instrumentation and with the founders on platform direction. Idea to production is days. Real Ownership: Genuine ownership in a small, technically deep team. Your name will be on the system. Foundational Space: The private knowledge layer will reshape how AI agents operate inside organizations; the engineering problems sit at the edge of what current agentic frameworks can do well. Pavo is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

No silos. What you see in the editor is what ships in production. Companies like Spotify, Duolingo, LinkedIn, Google, and Fortune 500 automakers use our open-source runtimes to build once and ship everywhere - websites, apps, games, and vehicles. We provide modern tooling, including a generous AI/tooling budget, and encourage thoughtful use of AI assisted development where it improves speed, understanding, and quality. The team is distributed between the U.K. and U.S., where we maintain a hybrid office for collaboration and deep technical work. What you'll work on: Core APIs and services that drive the company editor, multiplayer collaboration, asset management, and the company Marketplace. Database architecture and optimization, designing schemas and queries that perform at scale and evolve with our product. Customer facing applications for authentication, accounts, billing, and team management. Observability and telemetry, building insight into how our systems behave and how customers use the company. File and asset storage systems, including object storage, CDN distribution and caching layers for fast, reliable access. Real time infrastructure for live collaboration, syncing thousands of changes per second across sessions with low latency. Distributed background systems for rendering, asset conversion, and large scale task orchestration. Scalability and reliability engineering, ensuring the company stays fast and stable as we grow. Security, compliance, and permissions models that protect our customers and meet enterprise grade standards. Tech Stack includes: Node.js (TypeScript & JavaScript), Dart/Flutter, C++, MySQL (Aurora), Redis, OpenSearch, AWS (Fargate, Lambda, CloudWatch), Docker, Terraform, GitHub Actions Requirements 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, specifically in backend and infrastructure. Proven track record of owning and delivering backend services for scaling SaaS based products that are widely relied upon by active users. Node.js experience, or strong experience in multiple programming languages and evidence of learning new ones quickly. Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), infrastructure as code, and container orchestration. Strong SQL skills, including hands on experience with query analysis and optimization. Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations: seek out requirements, make sound decisions, and prioritize effectively. Excellent communication skills, with willingness to work directly with customers when needed. Benefits £120k-£135k or $170-195k USD base salary + stock options Unlimited holiday (PTO) and comprehensive health benefits Parental leave Regular team meetups and travel opportunities Hybrid flexible work environment with Offices in London (Farringdon) and San Francisco (Potrero Hill) Coffee and lunch on us when you're in the office Compensation may depend on the level of experience and geographic location.
