You will work closely with our architecture function - contributing to network designs as well as implementing and maintaining them - and be one of the people we rely on when something needs investigating or fixing quickly. You will also pick up adjacent systems work as needed - this isn't a narrowly defined role, and we value people who are comfortable stepping slightly outside pure networking when it helps get the job done. Troubleshooting and incident response Act as a frontline responder for network incidents, carrying out initial investigation, troubleshooting, and remediation under time pressure. Monitor network health and performance, using observability tooling to spot issues before they become outages. Contribute to root cause analysis and write up clear, accurate incident notes to support post incident review. Wider systems and collaboration Pick up adjacent systems work as needed, such as server management, hypervisor and virtualisation tasks, and general Linux administration. Work closely with the architecture, platform, and security teams, feeding back practical, on the ground experience into future designs and standards. Senior Data Engineer
慨正橡扯 Wallingford, Oxfordshire
Dexory is building its first company-wide data capability, and this is its founding hire. You will build and own the data foundation that brings our various sources together, model them into clean and trustworthy tables, and define the metrics and business concepts so that how we are doing means the same thing to everyone, and so that AI can query our data safely. The first and most important outcome is a reliable, queryable view of customer and site performance against contracted SLAs and KPIs. From that same foundation, you will go on to serve the rest of the business: deployment and billing readiness, finance, product usage and operational efficiency. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who is data- and AI-automation savvy, can make the big architectural calls and still ship, and can navigate the genuinely hard part: getting the business to agree on what a site, a customer, or a deployment actually is. You will be a team of one to begin with, setting the standards, proving value quickly with early wins, and shaping the function and team we build around you, with a clear path to lead it. This will involve a minimum of 2 days a week onsite at our Wallingford facility. Responsibilities Build the data foundation, bringing operational, product, commercial and contractual data into a single queryable layer, and decide the architecture and system of record for our core concepts: customer, site, deployment and contract Embed Dexory's data security requirements into all foundational architecture and engineering work, ensuring security is a core design principle rather than an afterthought. Make customer and site performance answerable on demand by modelling perception accuracy, scan and mission performance, obstructions and scan coverage, connectivity and other operational signals against the SLAs and KPIs we have committed to per site. Define the metrics and business definitions with each team so that key terms are consistent and the data is trustworthy. Establish the metrics bible that controls the lens through which AI and reporting interpret our data. You facilitate and codify these definitions rather than owning every one alone. Use AI automation to join the dots between systems and to make data genuinely self-serve: connectors and pipelines where needed, and a trustworthy natural-language and query layer so teams get correct, context-aware answers instead of raw-data guesses. Partner with the engineering teams, platform, autonomy and perception, to have them expose source data cleanly, rather than building every pipeline yourself. Your focus is on what the data means and how it fits together. Own the ongoing health of the foundation: monitor pipelines, fix what breaks when sources change, and protect the trust that makes this the company's source of truth. Make pragmatic build-versus-buy decisions, set the engineering standards for the future team, and deliver early, visible wins within the first few months. Help define, recruit and mentor the team as the function grows. Required Qualifications Significant experience as a senior data or analytics engineer, comfortable owning architecture and making source-of-truth decisions independently. Strong hands-on data skills: fluent SQL, solid data modelling, and a modern data stack. We are building on Databricks, so experience there or with an equivalent lakehouse or warehouse, plus a transformation framework such as dbt and strong Python, is what we are looking for. Demonstrated fluency with AI automation tooling: using LLMs and agents to integrate systems, accelerate delivery and expose data for natural-language querying, with the judgement to control context so the answers stay trustworthy. We want evidence of what you have built, not familiarity with the buzzwords. A proven track record in integrating multiple operational and commercial or SaaS systems. For us, that landscape includes Databricks, HubSpot, product analytics via Pendo, fleet and robot telemetry via Grafana, deployment tooling and contractual data. The communication and facilitation skills to align non-technical stakeholders on shared definitions and ownership, and the patience to navigate genuinely contentious questions about what our core concepts mean. This matters as much as the technical skill. Experience with data quality and, ideally, deduplication or entity resolution concepts, so information stays consistent everywhere it is used. A self-starter who thrives as the first or sole engineer in a fast-moving scale-up and wants to grow into leading the function. Benefits Starting from the interview process and continuing into your career with us, you will be working by our four Operating Principles: Performance: High standards, outstanding results, Impact: Big challenges, bigger results Commitment: All in, every time One team: One mission, shared success Joining our team and company isn't just about expertise; it's about embracing uncertainty with ambition. Autonomy Engineer - Lidar Perception & SLAM for Scalable Robotics
慨正橡扯 Wallingford, Oxfordshire
Autonomy Engineer (Lidar perception) Wallingford At Dexory, we build, deploy, and operate autonomous robots that transform logistics and warehouse operations. In just six months, we went from the first CAD model to a deployed robot at a customer site in May 2023. Two years later, we've built and deployed over 150 robots, grown from a team of 10 to more than 250 people, and continue to scale at startup speed. Our ambition now is to scale our robotics and autonomy stack to hundreds, soon thousands, of robots operating in dynamic, real-world environments. As a Robotics Engineer at Dexory, you'll help us make that possible: designing systems that can be deployed every two weeks to our global fleet, with zero manual customisation. The challenge is immense: how do you build a scalable, reliable robotics core that powers a rapidly growing Robot-as-a-Service platform? If solving that at speed excites you, you'll feel right at home here. When you apply, provide a few sentences why you think you're the right person for this role. We value the right attitude, humility and we're as interested in your character as we are in your talent. Please apply, even if you feel you only meet part of our listed criteria. Diversity drives innovation and we offer an international and friendly work environment with an energetic company culture. What does this role involve? Developing and maintaining autonomy software for real-world robotic systems Working with ROS 2, using modern C++ (17/20), and Python Developing and maintaining our lidar odometry Developing and maintaining our lidar based SLAM approaches (we need a few) Collaborating with deployment teams to support complex field operations Occasionally travel for hands on deployment support Requirements: Solid understanding of LiDAR based SLAM algorithms (e.g., Cartographer, LOAM, LIO SAM, HDL Graph SLAM, etc.) Experience with pose graph optimization, scan matching, and sensor fusion Familiarity with Open3D or PCL for point cloud processing. Understanding of state estimation frameworks (e.g., EKF, UKF, graph based methods, or factor graphs). Evidence of past work: open-source contributions, competition results, or deployed systems Experience integrating 3D and 2D LiDARs (Ouster, Velodyne, Hesai, Livox, SICK, etc.). Knowledge of calibration (LiDAR-IMU, LiDAR-camera, LiDAR-robot base). Understanding of sensor synchronization, timestamp alignment, and coordinate transformations. Ability to design and validate sensor placement for optimal coverage and robustness. Solid experience with ROS 2, C++, and Python Familiarity with Linux, Git, CI/CD, and containerisation Willingness to travel for hands on deployment (when needed) Strong communication and collaboration skills Strong Advantage If You Have Expertise in design robotic software at scale Experience with Lidar based segmentation, or other perception pipelines Contributions to open source robotics projects Participation in competitions like RoboCup, Formula Student AI, or DARPA challenges Benefits Starting from the interview process and continuing into your career with us, you will be working by our four Operating Principles: Performance: High standards, outstanding results, Impact: Big challenges, bigger results Commitment: All in, every time One team: One mission, shared success Joining our team and company isn't just about expertise; it's about embracing uncertainty with ambition. We're crafting world changing solutions, fueled by a passion to redefine what's possible. We will look for you to help create and shape the future of logistics solutions through our products, our culture and our shared vision. You will also receive: Private healthcare via Bupa with 24/7 medical helpline Life insurance Income protection Pension: 4+% employee with option to opt into salary exchange, 5% employer Employee Assistance Programme - mental wellbeing, financial and legal advice/support 25 holidays per year Full meals onsite in Wallingford Fun team events on and offsite, snacks of all kinds in the office AAP/EEO Statement Dexory provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment. Autonomy Engineer
Maintain end-to-end traceability from business objectives through requirements to delivered outcomes, managing changes through appropriate change control. Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Change and Ops to ensure requirements are understood, testable and deliverable, supporting UAT readiness and implementation cutover where needed. IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE: Proven Business Analyst experience in utilities/water, or other closely regulated operational environments (power, telecoms, infrastructure, transport, government, field-based or scientific operations). Systems experience across EAM platforms (SAP PM, Maximo), GIS platforms, customer platforms (billing, CRM, CCAS) and analytics tooling; exposure to programmes such as ERP, CRM migration, GIS Utility Network Model, lab data systems or workforce management is a strong advantage. Excellent stakeholder engagement, confident facilitating workshops and communicating clearly at all levels; comfortable across Agile/Waterfall/hybrid delivery with tooling such as Jira/Confluence.
