Network Engineer

We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated and personable individual who will be responsible for supporting the IT Network infrastructure for a global organization. You will be a senior network engineer in a growing team. You will need to have an intermediate to advance proficiency in multiple IT systems and applications. This will include responsibilities such as installing and maintaining LAN/WAN/Wireless networks and devices, conducting circuit and traffic analysis and resolving latency or other performance issues, troubleshooting advance switching and routing issues, managing and troubleshooting firewall and DNS configurations. You will be working closely with service owners delivering service needs and SLA's. This means that excellent communication will be needed and exposure to stakeholder management. Essential skills & Experience Intermediate or higher knowledge of Network principles, technologies and services, including: * Cisco Routing, Switching and Wireless, (IOS/NXOS) * Load Balancing and WAN Optimization (F5 and Riverbed) * Switched Ethernet, Routing Protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) * Client-Based IPSec/SSL VPN, Site-Based IPSec VPN, DMVPN * WAN Circuit technologies (xDSL, Cable, MPLS, Metro Ethernet, T1, E1) * PIX/ASA Firewalls, IPS/IDS * Protocol Analysis (Netflow, SNMP, Syslog, Wireshark) * QoS, DNS, DHCP, Radius, TACACS+ * Network Security Technologies (Proxy/Content Filtering, ISE, CWS, MFA) Intermediate or higher knowledge of infrastructure technologies and services, which include: * Complex Systems Architecture * Storage Systems * IP Telephony and VoIP Basic or higher knowledge of infrastructure technologies and services, which include: * Microsoft Suite of Products * Microsoft server operating systems (2003, 2008, 2012) * Database Technologies * Backup/Archive Systems * Collaboration Technologies * IT Service Management best practices Required Skills * Bachelor's Degree preferably in IT or a related discipline or minimum of 5+ years working in an IT environment required * Cisco Certified Network professional (CCNP) or higher certification preferred * ITIL v3 Foundation certification a plus In return a salary of up to £50,000 is on offer, Plus other excellent benefits
