Please note this is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract We are looking for a Junior Solution Architect to join our Technology team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role created to provide dedicated capacity across a portfolio of strategic programmes currently in flight. You will work closely with our existing Solution Architect to provide technical leadership and integration expertise across three major programmes: a NetSuite ERP implementation, a Shopify ecommerce integration, and an EU warehouse onboarding. The successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running, take ownership of defined workstreams, and operate with a high degree of independence. The Responsibilities NetSuite ERP Implementation Support delivery of outstanding integrations and act as technical liaison with the system integrator (SI) Provide oversight of SI delivery quality and assist in managing the recovery plan for current programme delays Review integration designs, validate technical outputs, and identify risks early Contribute to testing, UAT coordination, and go-live readiness activities Shopify Integration Support configuration and validation of the NetSuite-Shopify connector Assist in scoping and delivering any bespoke development requirements as they are identified Work with commercial and digital teams to understand data flow requirements and translate into technical solutions EU Warehouse Onboarding Support the technical onboarding of an EU warehouse using the same WMS and supplier as the existing UK operation Lead or coordinate integration testing, data validation, and go-live support activities Document configurations and ensure knowledge transfer to the internal team The Person You will have gained some experience in a Solutions Architect, Systems Engineer, or senior integration role Hands-on experience with NetSuite - configuration, REST/SOAP APIs, SuiteScript, or integration development Experience with Shopify or similar ecommerce platforms, particularly around integration and data flows Proven track record delivering ERP or systems integration projects in a commercial environment Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Comfortable joining an active programme and adding value quickly with minimal onboarding time Desirable Experience Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and associated integrations Familiarity with middleware or iPaaS platforms (e.g. Celigo, Boomi, MuleSoft) Experience working in retail, ecommerce, or logistics environments Exposure to SI governance or third-party delivery management We recognise that not everyone will meet every requirement. Senior Data & Insight Analyst - 12 month FTC The Vice-Provost (Strategy) team leads the development and delivery of UCL's institutional strategy and strategic plans, providing insight and data to inform and align institutional decisions, monitor progress against agreed goals, and shape responses to external and internal challenges and opportunities. The team also provides expert strategic planning support to UCL faculties and manages UCL data governance. The Data & Insight team deliver high-quality data analysis and insight to support strategic, evidence-based decision-making at UCL. We are based within the Office of the Vice-Provost Strategy (OVPS), a wider team of 20 FTE who: Support UCL to implement the 2022-27 Strategic Plan and deliver its major projects (e.g. UCL East) co-ordinate and support departments through UCL's annual strategic planning cycles work to implement better data governance and management of our organisational data support institutional strategy/changes programmes About the role We are recruiting a Senior Data & Insight Analyst to join our team on a c.12 month maternity cover. This role is offered as a secondment (for internal staff) or as a fixed-term contract for external applicants. The five Senior Data & Insight Analysts are responsible for delivering the highest quality strategic data and insight to inform UCL decision-makers and stakeholders. They d evelop and refine our portfolio of data analytics products, which are mainly data visualisation dashboards for UCL's Tableau server site, and machine learning products, data science models and data pipelines in our cloud data warehouse. With a strong focus on delivering insight for our senior colleagues, they work to solve problems and support evidence-based decision-making using data analysis, visualisation, modelling and forecasting. The senior analysts gain a deep understanding of and work with all UCL's major data domains. They continually refine our existing portfolio of products and lead on the development of others, in consultation with our customers and in collaboration with the wider Data & Insight strategy and product teams. About you You will choose one of two routes according to your skills, experience and chosen career path; either primarily as a dashboard and insight analyst, or primarily as a technical specialist focusing on data modelling and engineering in SQL and Python. You'll be user-focused and have great communication skills. You'll be a graduate-calibre data professional with experience of managing large, complex datasets and have d emonstrable experience developing dashboards with the use of leading visualisation technologies (e.g. Tableau, Power BI). You'll have experience managing complex projects in a large, decentralised organisation and you'll ideally have e xperience working with relational databases and in associated query languages, for example SQL or Python. You'll have h ighly developed analytical skills and techniques, including the development and interpretation of statistics and the ability to interpret complex issues and conclude in simple, engaging and visual ways. Desirable (but not essential): You'll ideally be proficient in a coding language such as Python or R, and have e xperience of data modelling and engineering in SQL. E xperience in developing statistical, machine learning, and AI models into production is also desirable.
