Why Socure? Socure is building the identity trust infrastructure for the digital economy - verifying 100% of good identities in real time and stopping fraud before it starts. The mission is big, the problems are complex, and the impact is felt by businesses, governments, and millions of people every day. We hire people who want that level of responsibility. People who move fast, think critically, act like owners, and care deeply about solving customer problems with precision. If you want predictability or narrow scope, this won't be your place. If you want to help build the future of identity with a team that holds a high bar for itself - keep reading. About the Role We are seeking a highly analytical and impact-driven Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Science Data team at Socure. In this role, you will work at the intersection of data, fraud risk, and identity verification, transforming raw, complex datasets into actionable insights that directly improve our products and decisioning systems. You will own high-impact projects end to end: designing scalable data pipelines, building and evaluating models, and leading analytical deep-dives that shape how we use data to detect fraud and validate identity. You will also leverage emerging approaches, including agentic AI and LLM-powered systems, to automate data analysis, accelerate insight generation, and scale how we evaluate identity data and detect fraud patterns. This is an advanced individual-contributor role (IC4 / Senior) that requires deep technical expertise, strong business judgment, and alignment with Socure's leadership competencies, including continuous learning, effective communication, accountability, team development, decision making, and managing change. What You'll Do Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows to support analytics, fraud detection, model development, and ongoing data monitoring (e.g., using Spark, Airflow, or similar distributed systems). Leverage and build agentic AI and LLM-powered systems to automate data exploration, anomaly detection, vendor evaluation, and investigative workflows, increasing the speed and depth of insight generation. Build and optimize models using a variety of input data types, including tabular data, natural language, point clouds, and images, in support of fraud detection and identity verification use cases. Own data quality and integrity for critical datasets, implementing monitoring, validation checks, and anomaly detection to ensure reliable input to models and downstream decision systems. Take ownership of project outcomes from scoping through delivery, managing data quality, technical trade-offs, and timelines; proactively escrow risks and work cross-functionally to resolve challenges. Evaluate and integrate third-party data vendors and external datasets, including designing experiments to assess data quality, coverage, lift, and long term value for Socure's models and products. Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Risk teams to define data requirements, shape roadmap priorities, and deliver insights that guide strategic decisions for fraud and identity products. Conduct in depth research to explore new data sources and develop novel algorithms and features that advance the state of the art in fraud detection, identity resolution, and risk scoring. Lead the end to end ML/analytics lifecycle for assigned projects: problem definition, data exploration, feature engineering, modeling, evaluation, deployment handoff, and post deployment monitoring where applicable. Present findings, trade offs, and recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders with clarity and influence, adapting communication for audiences ranging from engineers to non technical business leaders. Mentor and share knowledge with peers and junior data scientists, fostering a culture of experimentation, rapid iteration, and continuous learning aligned to Socure's leadership competencies. Stay current with advancements in AI, machine learning, and data infrastructure (including LLMs and agentic frameworks), and apply innovative techniques to real world fraud and identity problems. Model Socure's embedded leadership competencies in day to day work: continuous learning, effective communication, accountability, team development, decision making, and managing change. What You Bring Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field; or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or closely related roles, ideally in a high growth tech or fintech environment. Experience in fraud prevention, risk modeling, or identity verification, including working with noisy, adversarial, or high risk data environments. Proven experience working with large, messy, real world datasets to generate insights and drive measurable business impact (not limited to pure model development). Experience working with diverse data modalities, such as tabular data, text/language, point clouds, and images, and selecting appropriate modeling approaches for each. Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands on experience using major ML libraries/frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit learn) for model development and evaluation. Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, model evaluation techniques (e.g., AUC, lift, calibration, stability), and data pipeline development for both batch and near real time use cases. Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and workflows in distributed or large scale environments (e.g., Spark, Airflow, Databricks, or similar technologies). Demonstrated ability to evaluate and work with third party data vendors or external datasets, including designing tests for data quality, coverage, stability, and incremental lift over existing signals. Experience with LLMs and agentic AI frameworks/infrastructure (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, Ray) is strongly preferred; ability to design or extend agentic workflows for analytics and data quality use cases is a plus. Demonstrated ability to proactively deliver complex outcomes, lead technical workstreams, mentor others, and influence cross functional decisions without formal authority. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data problems and model behavior into actionable business insights for both technical and non technical audiences. Commitment to continuous learning, professional integrity, and high standards of business ethics, consistent with Socure's leadership expectations. Please note: we are unable to provide sponsorship now, or in the future. Applicants must be located in one of the following metros ( 45 miles) to be considered: New York, Miami, DC, Seattle, San Francisco. Socure is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity in all its forms within our company. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. Junior Commercial Data Analyst (Temp June-Sept 26) Sheffield City Centre (fully office-based) £25,878 - £30,000 pa pro rata DOE Fixed-term (early June 2026 - 25th September 2026) UniHomes is looking for a Junior Commercial Analyst to join the Commercial & Data team on a temporary basis and help us progress a backlog of analytical projects that will sharpen how we price, benchmark against competitors and report internal performance. This is a hands on, commercially flavoured analytical role with real visibility. You'll work on a defined set of self contained projects, with prepared datasets and source pointers supplied by the existing team and senior validation of every output before it is used. You won't need to navigate the full UniHomes data stack - the focus is on doing thoughtful, well structured commercial analysis and presenting it clearly. The projects you'll lead on are commercially oriented: building a repeatable competitor pricing tracker, supporting analysis on regional and property specific pricing, identifying cross department performance KPIs, and producing prototype reporting in Tableau and Salesforce. You'll also support wider market research, scenario analysis and documentation across the project set. Reporting into the Head of Commercial Strategy & Performance and working day to day with our senior finance and data teams, you'll be supported through weekly check ins, structured briefs and clear documentation expectations. This is an excellent first, fixed term role for a commercially curious graduate or penultimate year student who wants to see how commercial decisions are made in a fast moving business. Key responsibilities: Lead delivery of a defined set of commercial analytical projects, including competitor pricing tracking, regional/property specific pricing analysis, internal KPI discovery and reporting prototypes. Build and run a twice weekly competitor price check across bedrooms, regions and packages, and present findings in a usable format. Support scenario analysis comparing current, regional and more granular pricing approaches. Identify and propose cross department performance KPIs, and prototype reporting in Tableau and/or Salesforce. Carry out structured market research from public sources and present findings clearly. Document methodology, assumptions, exclusions and limitations for every piece of analysis. Label outputs clearly as exploratory, validated, recommendation or operational, and route them to the named senior reviewer before use. Skills and experience: Recent graduate or penultimate/final year undergraduate in a quantitative discipline - Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Economics (quantitative pathway), Physics, Engineering, Energy Studies, Environmental Science, Computer Science (analytics focus), Actuarial Science or similar. Confident with Excel or Sheets; exposure to SQL or Python is desirable but not essential. Comfortable testing relationships in structured data and presenting findings clearly. Attend weekly check ins to share progress, raise data issues and surface early findings. Save working files and methodology notes so analysis can be picked up later by the permanent team. Strong attention to detail and a habit of documenting what you've done and why. Curious, organised and willing to ask questions when something doesn't look right. Interest in utilities, property, energy data or the student housing sector is desirable but not essential. About us: At UniHomes, we're on a mission to transform the entire student rental experience across the UK. The projects you'll lead on are quantitative in nature: understanding the relationship between weather and energy usage, improving annual consumption assumptions, modelling how consumption phases across the year, building an initial view of water usage, and testing whether square footage is a better predictor of energy use than bedroom count. Each project has a clearly defined question, output and reviewer. Reporting into the Head of Commercial Strategy, Performance and Data and working day to day with our senior data and utilities team, you'll be supported through weekly check ins, structured briefs and clear documentation expectations. This is an excellent first, fixed term role for a quantitative graduate or penultimate year student who wants to see how data analysis directly supports commercial decision making. Key responsibilities: Lead delivery of a defined set of analytical projects, including weather to usage correlation, annual gas and electric consumption assumptions, usage curves, water usage assumptions, and square footage vs energy use. Work with pre prepared datasets provided by the senior team - no direct work in Snowflake, Salesforce, Tableau or dbt required. Test relationships in the data and produce clear, evidenced outputs - segmented where data allows by group size, EPC, heating type, location and property type. Document methodology, assumptions, sample sizes, exclusions and limitations for every piece of analysis. Label outputs clearly as exploratory, validated, recommendation or operational, and route them to the named senior reviewer before use. Attend weekly check ins to share progress, raise data issues and surface early findings. Save working files and methodology notes so analysis can be picked up later by the permanent team. Provide clear, written hand over of completed projects at the end of the contract. Strong attention to detail and a habit of documenting what you've done and why. Curious, organised and willing to ask questions when something doesn't look right. Interest in utilities, property, energy data or the student housing sector is desirable but not essential. # Junior Commercial Data Analyst (Temp June-Sept 26) Data and Analytics Junior Commercial Data Analyst (Temp June-Sept 26)Sheffield City Centre (fully office-based) £25,878 - £30,000 pa pro rata DOE Fixed-term (early June 2026 - 25th September 2026) UniHomes is looking for a Junior Commercial Analyst to join the Commercial & Data team on a temporary basis and help us progress a backlog of analytical projects that will sharpen how we price, benchmark against competitors and report internal performance. Attend weekly check ins to share progress, raise data issues and surface early findings. Save working files and methodology notes so analysis can be picked up later by the permanent team. Strong attention to detail and a habit of documenting what you've done and why. Curious, organised and willing to ask questions when something doesn't look right. Interest in utilities, property, energy data or the student housing sector is desirable but not essential. Whether you're in R&D, Commercialisation, Medical Affairs or Operations, you'll have the chance to lead projects, influence strategy, and broaden your skill set across the company. We champion diverse backgrounds and perspectives, fostering an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive and innovate. If you're inspired by purpose, motivated by challenge, and eager to make a meaningful impact on patient lives, we'd love to hear from you. We usually recruit on a rolling basis with the following four stages: Initial Conversation - An online meeting with Maddie, a member of our People team, to learn a bit more about you and for you to explore what it is like to work with us. Line Manager Interview - An online meeting with the hiring manager(s) to specifically discuss the role further through theoretical and scenario based questions. Team Interview & Assessment - An onsite presentation or assessment with an opportunity to meet the wider team. Final Interview - An online meeting with our CEO to discuss your goals and the company's history and vision. Job Summary Clinicians, laboratory staff, pathologists, and most of all, patients are at the heart of what you will do. Making sure they deliver and receive critical healthcare information is central to your role. You will translate complex clinical workflows into clear, accessible and scalable front-end solutions. Not just so healthcare professionals can retrieve the information they need, but can do so using a platform and interface that is seamless, effortless and intuitive. Branching out of the software engineering team, you will also leverage opportunities to work with product and clinical stakeholders internally at Cyted, and externally. With curiosity and passion, you will own and elevate discovery through to delivery whilst engaging directly with users to ground solutions in real world challenges. We love inventive and innovative perspectives to bring fresh approaches that lead the way we build robust and reusable components to strengthen the front-end architecture. Boldly raising our engineering standards across the team and internationally into the US is exactly what we want. You will immerse yourself in challenging assumptions, driving practical solutions and reliably step up to shape how our team delivers high quality to clinicians, laboratory staff, pathologists and patients. Working Pattern and Location This role is a full-time position with a standard 37.5 hour working week. You will be based at Cyted's Head Office, Ground Floor, Building 3, Old Swiss, 149 Cherry Hinton Road, Cambridge, CB1 7BX, UK and be expected to be in the office 3 days per week. What you will be doing User Insight and Collaboration Constantly engage directly with pathologists, clinicians, and internal service teams to understand real world workflows and pain points. Demo work regularly, inviting challenge and feedback, and iterating based on insight. Front End Development Design and build intuitive, accessible UI for laboratory staff, pathologists and clinicians. Translate complex clinical workflows into simple, effective digital experiences. Partner with backend engineers and international stakeholders to deliver a seamless end to end product. Build robust, scalable and reusable front end components and patterns. Raise issues early, propose practical solutions and get excited by taking ownership through delivery. Product and Platform Delivery Inform, design and deliver diagnostics platform capabilities aligned to business priorities and customer value. Build reusable code and shared libraries that strengthen long term architecture. Successfully integrate third party services to extend platform capability. Drive forward new technologies and approaches that improve productivity and quality. Engineering Excellence Proactively diagnose and resolve challenges quickly and methodically. Define test plans, write automated tests and conduct manual testing when needed. Support security reviews, audits and penetration testing and implement recommendations. Ways of Working Mentor and support the team's engineers to raise standards and international impacts. Consistently share expertise and promote best practice within the team. Contribute to Agile delivery and continuous improvement. Collaborate to plan, prioritise and deliver work with clarity and discipline. Your first two weeks will be meeting and getting to know us, as well as the wider team members at Cyted. You will get some 1:1 time out at lunch with a buddy to form a friendly face and go-to for any questions. To immerse yourself in how we operate, you will do some compliance training related to our lab quality management system, and get right into our sprint meetings: stand ups, demos, retros and planning. While understanding our objectives, priorities and software stack, in your first month you will get stuck in contributing to our team outcomes by delivering and testing code. From chats and meetings with wider team members, you will start to form a solid understanding of what they really need from our software. By the end of your first six months you will have led end-to-end a major piece of work like a FHIR API to integrate with patient record systems, new features for pathologists to request and receive second opinions or support development of a computational pipeline that operationalised our R&D team's genetics test. You will also have helped with triaging and responding to support requests from colleagues around the business for a sprint and informed where our priorities are for the next quarter in a team day. Who you are? We're looking for a senior software engineer with the technical depth and practical experience to build high quality systems in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment. You'll bring strong engineering fundamentals, confidence working across modern tooling and the ability to take ownership of meaningful technical outcomes.
