This global company produces content specifically to inform and educate those in the marcomms industry. They support brands like Publicis, Sportify, Channel 4, Bauer Media, The IAB, Google, Facebook, LinkedIn and Amazon, to name but a few and are a hugely respected business in the industry.
Due to continued success, they are now looking to hire additional PHP Developers to work on exciting new digital projects. As a senior member of the team, you’ll be involved in defining product direction.
You will work closely with the product team and senior leads to generate project specifications based on business requirements, proactively feeding into the development process.
Creating and building robust web applications to a high standard using modern best-practice will be at the heart of your role.
Testing and code review is built into our processes. Working with the team to provide and discuss constructive feedback will be a key part of the role.
To be successful you must:
Help to generate project specifications based on business requirements.
Perform code review, including constructive feedback to help others learn, while taking on board others’ feedback.
Monitor the performance of live systems and make active recommendations for improvements.
Your experience
Expertise with both procedural and OO PHP
Strong knowledge of a modern PHP framework (Symfony preferred, but strong experience in Laravel, Zend, or Magento will be considered)
Expertise using git for version control
Strong SQL skills with emphasis on relational database design
Working knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML5, jQuery, compiled CSS
