C# Senior Software Developer - Net (C#) and User Interface Design (WPF/Winforms)
A Software Developer with C#.Net, WPF or Winforms experience is required to work on a twelve month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Preston.
This is a 12 month contract with a leading UK Defence Business.
Overview of the C# Senior Software Developer contract role
This role is for a Software Developer who will produce and maintain a suite of products that support the Rmost advanced combat aircraft.
ESS is primarily a .Net (C#/WPF) desktop client application developed using Visual Studio, harnessing an Oracle database. A number of smaller niche utilities including a ruggedized tablet are also being developed which represent opportunities for varied development activities. The Software Developer will join a software development team with strong software engineering principles. Experience with Test Driven Development, Design Patterns, SOLID and agile development methodologies are advantageous.
Key skills required for the C# Senior Software Developer
The successful candidate will have comprehensive C# ability with experience in VB6 and experience using WPF/Winforms. It would also be advantageous to have experience in Oracle, ClearCase, TFS, Coded UI, COM, .Net Interop, SQL, XML (XSD/XSLT), Entity Framework and Rational Robot.
The role is based in Preston, Lancashire - commutable from Blackpool, Lancaster, Morecambe, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool and Leeds
