Technical Lead Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires Technical Lead - Azure & Event-Driven Architecture to be based at their client's office in Luton, UK. This is a hybrid role - you can work remotely in the UK and attend the Luton office 3 days per week . This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start ASAP Day rate: Competitive Market rate Our client is looking for a Technical Lead specializing in Azure and event-driven architecture, with over 8 years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Azure services, containerization, and databases such as Cosmos DB and PostgreSQL. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of microservices and event-driven systems . Define architecture standards and best practices for Azure-based solutions . Mentor and guide developers, ensuring adherence to coding and design principles. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Oversee CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud deployments. Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality deliverables. Drive innovation and adoption of modern cloud-native patterns. Key Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Extensive experience in Java , Spring Boot , and microservices architecture. Strong expertise in Azure services (Event Hub, Service Bus, AKS, Functions). Knowledge of DevOps practices and infrastructure as code Proficiency in containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD. Solid understanding of security, scalability, and performance optimization. Experience in Cosmos DB and PostgreSQL Proven experience in event-driven architecture and messaging systems Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Leadership experience in managing technical teams and projects.
