A contract position Outside IR35 4 days pw onsite in Surrey Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a Software Integration Lead on a contract basis. This is a pivotal role within the Software Development team, working alongside Principal Engineers responsible for control systems in various functional domains. You will be accountable for defining the software development plans across multiple platforms and vehicle programmes, proactively managing these plans, maintaining the backlog, and identifying and managing risks, particularly where they cross functional boundaries. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with TPMs to define the content and priorities for each software platform, including content from both the team and programme. Work with Software Development Principal Engineers to estimate effort and define the overall project schedule. Identify and communicate the programme critical path and any potential blockers requiring management support. Monitor integration and software development/bug fixes against the plan using JIRA and other tracking tools. Generate metrics and performance indicators, and report on status and project risks weekly at Director level. Manage interdependencies between teams and proactively remove or avoid impediments. Support programmes and domains in sprint planning to focus on long-term goals. Manage integration across various programmes, ensuring seamless coordination through to software delivery to the business. Job Requirements: Experience of a full product lifecycle within automotive software, ideally within an ASPICE framework. Knowledge of recognised project management methodologies such as Agile, Lean, and Waterfall. Strong technical understanding of the software development process and challenges, ideally using Simulink controls with AUTOSAR basic software. Demonstrable track record of on-time delivery in high-pressure environments, leading software or systems projects using agile methodologies within multi-disciplinary groups. Proven ability to apply risk management concepts. Experience working with distributed global engineering teams. Competent user of Microsoft Office products.
