The Role
We are recruiting for a HR Information Systems Advisor to be based at our site in Port Talbot, South Wales. The role exists to provide effective, efficient and professional advice and guidance to employees, line managers, trade unions, and HR, which will facilitate the resolution of individual issues.
To carry out this role successfully your duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
* Carry out a full range of data analyses, ensuring completeness and accuracy, produce periodic or ad-hoc reports or analyses and respond to queries or outputs to clarify understanding and provide interpretation of data
* Provide meaningful insight into trends and underlying causes, through the interrogation and analysis of multiple HR data sets.
* Provide assigned HR services under direction from the Section Leader, ensuring that all services are provided in an effective, timely and professional manner
* Ensure that sound controls are maintained and developed in assigned areas, auditing and reviewing controls and procedures on a regular basis
* Carry out root cause analysis to identify the reasons for failure to meet departmental KPIs against SLAs, ensuring that any issues are investigated to rectify any shortfall against targeted level
* Organise and prioritise own workload, ensuring deadlines are met and work is produced to the required standard
* Respond to incoming queries and prioritise in terms of urgency, ensuring all queries are logged, actioned or forwarded to the Offshore team where necessary ensuring the originator is kept informed of progress.
* Ensure advice and guidance is provided in line with current legislation and company policies.
* Identify, evaluate and escalate potential process and system improvements in order to promote continuous improvement
* Ensure that key performance indicators, management information and statistical data is gathered, validated and analysed for inclusion in the service centre reporting.
* Maintain electronic employee data (including changes such as new starters, changes of position, status, rota, pay, access, etc.) and any associated administration in the HRSS portal
* Ensure the integrity of data complies with GDPR requirements in all core and ancillary applications by operating robust change processes and regular auditing
The Candidate
* Advanced level Microsoft Excel, Access and VBA
* Working knowledge of SAP HR system
* Experience of developing Dashboards and presenting data across a wide audience
