Defensive Cyber Senior FPGA Firmware Engineer The Cross-Domain (XD) team deliver high performance appliances for the Defensive Cyber market. We develop from a blank sheet with security as a primary consideration, designing the whole appliance from high performance C++, embedded software, FPGA firmware (VHDL), custom PCBs, power distribution, and thermal management. All of which has to deliver a reliable, supportable, and maintainable capability for our customers. JOB ROLE A Senior Firmware Engineer within the XD team can expect to be involved in the full lifecycle of product development, from concept, design, through delivery, and into support. We predominately use Intel (previously Altera) FPGAs, with code developed using VHDL. We develop from a blank sheet with security as a primary consideration, designing the whole appliance from high performance C++, embedded software, FPGA firmware (VHDL), custom PCBs, power distribution, and thermal management. Show more Show less Qualifications Qualifications We are looking for experience in all or some of the following skills: The use of Public/Private cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP preferred) - certification desirable but not essential Provisioning of environments and management of IAAS using Terraform/Cloud Provider templates Configuration management / automated environment provisioning (Ansible preferred) Implementation of Continuous Integration/Delivery concepts and tooling (Jenkins, Nexus, Maven etc) Administration of source code repositories (Git, Bitbucket etc) The design and implementation of continuous integration/delivery practices Approaches and tooling for automated build, delivery and release of software Approaches and tooling for automated software assurance and quality assurance Familiar with Waterfall, Agile and Lean Software delivery methodologies Containerised deployment of applications and container management (Docker, Swarm, K8s) Administration of modern operating systems (Linux, Windows) Implementation and configuration of Monitoring (Dynatrace, Elk, Splunk) Experience of the implementation of DevOps practices in an enterprise IT organisation Implementation of networking (hardware or virtual) Triage of performance and operational issues What's in it for you At Accenture in addition to a competitive basic salary, you will also have an extensive benefits package which includes 25 days vacation per year, gym subsidy, private medical insurance and 3 extra days leave per year for charitable work of your choice!
