This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for setting the strategic direction and driving digital transformation in engineering and asset information management. With significant budget oversight and a growing team, this role will shape how engineering data, models, and digital assets are governed, integrated, and optimised across the full lifecycle of construction and asset management activities. Key Responsibilities Define and deliver the organisation's Engineering Information Management strategy , ensuring alignment with asset management, construction, and regulatory objectives. Establish governance frameworks for engineering data, drawings, and BIM models, ensuring compliance with industry standards (ISO 19650, PAS 1192, ISO 14224). Lead the design, optimisation, and automation of workflows , embedding Common Data Environments (CDEs) and integrating with platforms such as GIS, Maximo, and ACC. Oversee robust performance reporting frameworks to deliver insights into investment, safety, and asset health KPIs. Act as a key partner with regulatory bodies, ensuring transparency and compliance in reporting. Build and lead a multidisciplinary team of digital engineers, BIM specialists, and CAD technicians, championing a culture of excellence. Drive innovation and continuous improvement through technology pilots, proof-of-concepts, and strategic partnerships. About You We are seeking a forward-thinking leader with a proven track record in engineering information management, BIM, or digital asset management within infrastructure or utilities. You will bring: Strong leadership experience with direct and indirect team management responsibilities. In-depth knowledge of construction and asset lifecycle processes, from commissioning to maintenance. Technical expertise in BIM platforms (Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks), GIS (ArcGIS), and asset management systems (Maximo). Strong data governance and digital workflow design skills, with a focus on automation and integration.
