A software company with huge backing are looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer. The company do some incredibly interesting cutting-edge work with a pretty unique product, and have ambitious plans to grow from 150 to 600 in the next few years, so now is an ideal time to join. Based just outside of Aberdeen, and offering a hybrid working model (ideally in the office two days a week), you will join the Head of DevOps, several Senior DevOps Engineers and a few more junior folk in building out the cloud and DevOps function. You'll be a hands-on Engineer, with expertise in building out CI/CD pipelines in particular. Ideally, your cloud platform experience would be with Azure, but as long as you have some strong cloud platform experience (I.e. Azure or GCP) you'll get on fine! It would be a huge bonus if you had experience across containerisation and Kubernetes specifically, as well as being able to set up a Kubernetes cluster from scratch. As Principal, you'll need to lead 'from the top down' and ensure that knowledge transfer is happening both in the DevOps team, but across the technical team as required. It's a collaborative working environment too, so having good communications skills and an ability to combine ideas and opinions is a must!
