Overview We are seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to act in an RMO role to support our customer as the key interface between the project organisation and the Equipment design authority The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the defence industry and expertise in systems engineering, verification, project management, and Documentation. The RMO provides the senior leadership to ensure that the system equipment is designed, accepted and delivered to meet system performance and project/ programme commitments. Responsibilities As a Test RMO, you will work within the testing organisation, playing a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems solutions that meet our clients' needs. You will have: Significant experience of working with senior stakeholders to create a trusted partnership for mutual benefit First-class skills and significant experience in the definition of Architectural artefacts e.g. architectural models, roadmaps, strategies, principles, standards, patterns etc. Strong experience with PLM, Product Innovation Platforms and Service Creation frameworks and architectures, with demonstrable experience of dramatically improving maturity Experience of leading technology and architecture change programmes Significant experience of defining reference architecture and architectural artefacts from scratch i.e. leading initial creation as well as ongoing maintenance Demonstrated track record in leading a federated community of architects, designers and system owners, including working with 3 rd parties in these roles Prior experience in solution / design assurance and governance at scale Experience in software delivery, solution architecture, data architecture, solution assurance or similar roles Technical knowledge of enterprise content or publishing tools, including PLM, e-commerce/web, content management, data/reporting and ERP applications.
