Cytec Solutions are looking for a Software Tester to join our Product and Technology team.

Role:

The role will be part of our new Product and Technology team, reporting directly to the CPO. The Software Tester role, is a newly created position for the company and will offer the right candidate significant influence and autonomy to shape the testing approach to our business. We are looking for an experienced Software Tester who is excited to take full ownership of our testing practice. This role is ideal for someone ready to step up beyond execution, eager to set the testing strategy, implement automation frameworks, and champion quality across our development lifecycle.

  • Develop, maintain and execute test plans, test cases and regression suites for web and API based applications.
  • Define and evolve the overall testing strategy across manual and automated workflows.
  • Implement and manage a new automation testing framework to support continuous integration and delivery.
  • Ensure clear documentation of test processes, outcomes and quality metrics.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers and Designers to ensure product requirements are thoroughly tested.
  • Drive adoption of testing best practices such as shift left testing, test data management and consistent environments.
  • Perform exploratory and usability testing to identify issues not caught by automated scripts.
  • Champion QA practices across the team to ensure reliable, scalable and maintainable products.
  • Lead root cause analysis for critical defects and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the software delivery lifecycle by suggesting tools, frameworks and process enhancements.

Key requirements:

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in software testing with strong hands on experience in both manual and automated testing.
  • Excellent understanding of testing methodologies, SDLC and Agile environments.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
  • Experience working with API testing tools like Postman or REST Assured.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, CI/CD pipelines and test integration tools.
  • Solid experience in writing and maintaining test documentation and test cases using platforms like JIRA, TestRail or Xray.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experienced in defect tracking and reporting using tools such as Jira or Linear.

Desirable Experience

  • Background in testing SaaS platforms or web applications.
  • Experience with accessibility and performance testing tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud based environments such as Azure.
  • Understanding of API mocking, contract testing and data driven testing.
  • Exposure to security or compliance testing processes.
