Design, program, and commission control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, and HMI systems. Programming Siemens plc Develop and implement automation solutions for manufacturing and process control environments. Troubleshoot and optimize existing control systems to improve efficiency and reliability. Conduct system testing, validation, and performance analysis. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers on project development. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices. Provide technical support, training, and documentation for system users. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Automation, or a related field. Functional safety qualification advantageous. Proven experience in control systems design, programming, and implementation. Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and SCADA systems. Strong knowledge of industrial networking protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, EtherCat, CAN, Profibus, etc). Experience with motion control, robotics is advantageous. Ability to understand electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical drawings. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. This is a new UK company but is composed of an experienced, specialist team working in the global renewable energy industries. To work as development engineer in the field of engineering software to support IOT, control systems, controller hardware build and test. You will be involved in the development of hardware and software to support the monitoring and control of renewable energy generation, battery storage and EV Charging. This will involve R&D activities as well as provided engineering technical supports on projects during design, commissioning and operation. This will involve global travel. Experience can be around robotics, control, electrical engineering, software development. A priority is a passion for technology and some knowledge of software development, ie python coding as a hobby. Ideally we are looking for someone with up to two years experience after their education - but we are open to the right person. Salary 28k to 35k.
