Have you got a passionate for Digital and Informatics? We are looking for an enthusiastic project manager to work on a number of exciting Informatics/digital projects at Southampton Hospital and across Hampshire and Isle of Wight (HIOW). The UHSFT Digital Programme Team are delivering key components of the Trust's Digital Strategy including the Global Digital Exemplar Programme. They work closely with their colleagues in informatics department to introduce new technology and systems to the organisation. They engage with hospital clinicians including the chief clinical informatics officers and the chief nursing informatics and other clinical champions to ensure that projects are clinically led and focused on delivering benefits for staff and patients. We have a placement available for a Digital Project Manager for Southampton General Hospital (Tremona Road Southampton SO16 6YD). If you're not already on the bank you will need to be able to provide a reference covering a 6-month period of employment within the last 3 years . The working hours are Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours, with flexibility around the working hours. This is a band 7 role, £19.89 an hour. The role is expected to last 3 months from as soon as possible. You will be responsible for leading projects to implement new technology in the hospital. This could be new systems or IT. They are exploring new technical solutions to transform the way we manage our theatres and support patients in their surgical pathway from referral to discharge from hospital. You will be responsible for engaging with a wide group of clinical staff to understand the current challenges. You will also be responsible for working with potential suppliers and undertaking procurement activities. You don't need to have an NHS background, but you must have strong skills in implementing IT projects and supporting process change. What you'll do Lead the implementation of digital projects in the hospital Develop effective relationships with all stakeholders including clinical staff and IT suppliers Work to our project management methodology to effectively document and deliver the projects including the completion of all project assurance activities. Develop and implement effective communications plans to support the implementation of projects Identify benefits relating to the implementation of digital system Work closely with Informatics operational teams to deliver the implementation They are looking for someone who has Prince 2 Practitioner or Agile qualification along with being experienced with service improvement techniques Need to have IT knowledge and experience of delivering and leading significant projects Knowledge of multi-user systems and database structure Ideally have a significant knowledge of healthcare system configuration and NHS data definitions Have service improvement qualification e.g. change management Team management experience Ability to present complex information to internal and external groups in an understandable way Ability and experience of leading change through empowering people and holding them to account Report writing skills and experience Design specification and implementation of software applications and functionality Do you have these skills?
