This role is an easy commute for people travelling from Preston, Garstang, Lytham, Kirkham, Bispham and Layton CNC Programmer Hours: 6am or 7am - 4pm or 5pm Monday - Thursday (flexibe) CNC Programmer Salary: £35,000- £40,000 CNC Programmer company benefits: - 25 days holiday + bank holidays - Pension scheme - Onsite Parking - Christmas Closure -Family fun days - Incentive opportunities CNC Programmer roles and responsibilities: • Programme and operate 5-axis CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications • Develop and optimise CNC programmes using CAM software • Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet expected quality standards • Troubleshoot and resolve any machining or programming issues • Mentoring team apprentice ensuring they are fully supported with expertise. • Always ensuring adherence to health and safety requirements and maintaining a safe and clean environment The ideal CNC Programme r will be: • Proficient in the programming and operating of 5 Axis machines • Excellent eye for detail • Solid understanding of CAM software and G-code programming • Strong IT Skills with experience of using Microsoft Office applications • Strong problem-solving skills • Able to follow verbal and written instructions accurately • Good communication skills • Fun, team player, who is helpful • Tebis CAD/CAM Trim Trained and FARO CAM20 Trained (advantageous) If this role is permanent, gap personnel is operating as the employment agency. Principal Accountabilities : Program and manufacture of components to supplied drawings, encompassing the programming, setting and operating of multi-axis computer numerically controlled (CNC) machining centres Wherever possible, you will be required to set and operate more than one machine tool Maintain program and tooling records for all components produced Liaising with the management and production engineers to maximise the efficient running of the machine tools Maintain a shift handover record with other shift-based employees in the machine shop Responsible for the cleanliness and housekeeping in the workplace To be aware of health and safety legislation as it applies in the workplace In addition to these functions, employees are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing precision components preferably in a motorsport environment or similar Experienced craftsperson with a proven track record Experience in Open Mind CAM software Experience using Mazak/Mikron 3 axis and/or 5 axis milling machines applicable to your area Experience in Programming and use of Mazatrol or Heidenhain 530 control systems as applicable to your area.
