About us: Gravity Sketch is the category leader in solving the challenges faced by teams that design 3D products. Our platform enables teams to create and communicate 3D ideas in the quickest and most intuitive way possible - whether they are globally distributed or in the same geography. The platform is changing the way companies like Adidas and Ford carry out their day-to-day design work, helping to increase creativity, productivity, collaboration and compressing time to market. We take a B2C approach to B2B, nurturing a large community of highly engaged design and engineering professionals using the product to redefine their digital design workflow. The Gravity Sketch platform is accessible across VR and web-based applications allowing users to integrate GS seamlessly into their workflow. Our Culture We're a lean but ambitious team of 65+ spread across the globe. We may be geographically spread out, but we're tied by our mission to radically change how teams communicate ideas spatially and expressively from anywhere! Our focus is on output and getting the work done, not counting the hours you work. We appreciate that everyone has their own optimum setup, so provide flexibility in terms of when and where you get work done. Our Values Curiosity Always be in learning mode Go Deep: ask the why/why not Explore and have fun Empathy Put ourselves in the shoes of our customer Be genuinely caring and respectful Act from a place of understanding/longing to understand Force Multiplier Make everyone around us/you better Raise the Bar Deliver Results Resourceful Take calculated risks Use what we have/ deliver the most value Stay Hungry Act like an owner Hold ourselves and others accountable Make every investment as if it were your own Don't let the egg drop Our values are at the heart of our culture, we encourage everyone to experiment, bring new ideas to the table, and challenge one another to arrive at the best solutions for our users. We work hard, and know how to have fun too; with company trips, socials, sports, gaming sessions and more. We welcome you to share your hobbies with the team so we can all try something new! About the role As a Senior Software Engineer, focused in Computational Geometry in Gravity Sketch, you will be responsible for improving our existing geometry kernel as well as developing new features that will enable our VR app to become a more fully fledged 3D design tool. This will include architecting code to harness the efficiency of a "data-oriented", rather than OOP, approach, designing and optimising computational geometry algorithm by leveraging the Burst compiler and Unity's lower level APIs, as well as building efficient interactions between user input and the geometry kernel. You will be using C# and Unity, and more specifically Unity's Job System, the high performance subset of C# (HPC#) and the Burst Compiler. Whilst having experience with this particular stack would be ideal, we don't expect you to, as long as you understand how to write efficient, multi-threaded, vectorialised code. You will be working alongside our current maths specialist, by leading architectural decisions, and assisting in the algorithms designs and implementations. Together, you will own the deeply mathematical parts of our product, covering areas such as tesselation, mesh optimisation and topology, mesh subdivision and surface parametrisation. You will also collaborate with the VR engineers, designers and product managers, to leverage this geometry kernel with features that solve our users' issues and enable them to be more creative more easily in Gravity Sketch. Requirements Bachelor's degree in fields related to Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics Extensive knowledge of linear algebra concepts (vector and matrix math, numerical solvers) and 3D computational geometry Strong hands-on experience in writing, testing, and maintaining efficient C/C++ or C# code Working knowledge of advanced data structures and algorithms design 3+ years of experience with low-level optimization techniques related to 3D game engine or real-time graphics/geometry application design and performance profiling Strong knowledge of vectorization Strong experience in software development and software engineering. understanding of the full software development cycle. Can well balance quick prototyping and quick iteration vs production-ready development. Bonus points for: Understanding of NURBS and SubDivision Experience in C# and Unity Burst compiler and Job system Mesh and Topology Optimization Mesh Adaptation/Refinement/Smoothing Voxelized Digital Geometry 3D Graphics and High-end Gaming Please note, we have a studio in Brixton, London where the team has the option to work from. It would be great to have someone in this role that is able to work from the London studio regularly, although not essential. We can also consider applications from those who can work remotely from the UK or EU

We're on a mission to protect society from fraud and money laundering. We've already protected over 1.5 million people through life's big transactions, with a core aim to protect 3 million people by the end of 2024. Fraud and regulation are rising, costing the UK economy over £100bn every year; this makes it more difficult for businesses to protect themselves and their clients - individuals like you and me - from fraud and money laundering. Our co-founders Olly and Jack were led to this area when a friend was defrauded of £25K when buying their first property. At the time, anti-fraud technology didn't exist, which meant that completing the anti-fraud checks required in these processes was largely manual. These big life moments should be exciting, but instead are often confusing and scary due to the painful process of completing these paper-based checks and the risk of fraud. Thirdfort helps businesses to facilitate these anti fraud checks so that individuals know they can transact safely and seamlessly with professionals during these big transactions. Our anti-fraud platform provides a secure way for professionals in regulated sectors like Lawyers, Estate Agents and Accountants to transfer funds and verify sensitive information through app based document checks, facial recognition and open banking. Over 1,300 businesses now trust Thirdfort to verify their clients. We are FCA regulated and have raised over $25m in capital from leading Fintech investors Breega and Element Ventures, as well as the founders of Zoopla, Funding Circle, Comply Advantage, Tessian, Fenergo and Fidel. Engineering at Thirdfort At Thirdfort, we're working to build an outstanding engineering culture that empowers our team to do their best work. We have a culture which cultivates an honest and open environment, where everyone's opinions are heard and valued. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Identity team within the Engineering function and contribute to the building out of our new Know-Your-Customer/Know-Your-Business platform used by our B2C and B2B clients, as well as represent frontend engineering across the function. The platform is cloud hosted with a JSON REST API backend (primarily Node.js and GO), microservices architecture and cryptographically secure sensitive data storage. Our Product and Tech teams are remote first and so this individual can be based anywhere in the UK. This does not mean though that our remote first team aren't welcome in our offices as we value the times when we can come together in person. Ultimately we trust our team to work in the way that suits them best. Please note we're unfortunately unable to visa sponsor for this role. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will: Support building KYB & KYC APIs that are used by our B2B clients and written in Go. Mentor and elevate other engineers, as well as championing the Identity team across the engineering function and liaising with the wider organisation including Product, Design and Client Support to aid development of our product. Factor in security and privacy when crafting solutions and reviewing other engineers' Pull Requests Pragmatically suggest and implement solutions to immediate problems but consider the long-term implications of decisions with a view to ensure there is manageable amount and complexity of technical debt. Role-model quality and encourage the rest of the department to embody this. We're looking for someone who: Has significant experience building responsive, performant backend apps with modern frameworks Has experience with / understands the core concepts of: Cloud-based applications Modern Backend Languages (Experience with Go or strong desire to learn are a must) Relational and non-relational databases Has enabled and maintained 3rd party API integrations Can independently & collaboratively craft testable solutions for backend features Has experience working with both greenfield and legacy projects, identifying bottlenecks and suggesting improvements Has worked effectively in a team with product owners, designers and other stakeholders Cares deeply code quality of backend platforms and knows how to feedback to design with these in mind Can communicate complex topics with stakeholders of varying technical ability and can generate buy in for new concepts Has worked with internal APIs and understands how to influence teams building services the platform relies on Has built and maintained tests suites for unit and integration tests And has experience, or is keen to up-skill, in the following areas: Analytics and error tracking platforms such as GA and Grafana Next.js / React to support integration with our Web Portal and Client teams Studies show that women and other less represented groups are less likely to apply for roles unless they meet every requirement. We believe in building a diverse team, valuing different skills and experiences and so if you don't think you have all the requirements listed here but feel this could be a role and environment you'd thrive in, we would still love for you to apply. Life at Thirdfort Driven by our values, our culture promotes a collaborative and open environment where Thirdforters can take ownership, have impact, and feel empowered when it comes to their growth and development. We understand the importance of our teams wellbeing and recognise a one-size fits all approach rarely works, that's why we aim to provide the flexibility individuals need to work in the way that suits them, and their families, best. We include compensation ranges on our job ads in the spirit of Operating Openly and in an effort to make our interview process more inclusive. We list a range that aligns with our internal banding which is based on varying factors including external benchmarking for our stage and size as a business. In terms of how we decide where an individual fits within the band, we'd take you through the interview process and assess you against our internal performance framework which gives us further clarity. We'll also have open conversations with you throughout the interview process (starting in the first stage call) so we can be as open as possible about compensation as we understand how important it is to ensure we're aligned. We've created our benefits package to reflect Thirdfort's mission and values. We place a strong focus on Security first given what we do, extending this to our team's physical, mental and financial security to support them through their big life moments. Our benefits exist to empower our team, ensuring they feel supported and able to work in the way that enables them to do their best work. We're committed to building an inclusive, equitable and diverse culture where everyone has a chance to make a difference. We're purposefully building a team of problem-solvers that reflect our values - which is why we hire from all backgrounds. Not this team With creativity and technology at the start, middle and end of everything they do they've delivered what others said wasn't possible, won awards, have clients beating down their door, love what they are doing and are growing fast.Think huge projection mapping projects, global experiential events, interactive / motion sensing / AR / VR and everything in between. They're not a huge business, so everyone is in involved in every stage of the creative and technical process, from the moment the phone rings the whole team is involved in the "what can we do that hasn't been done before" conversations through to making the event happen. THE ROLE Working with other Designers (3D) this highly collaborative role is broad, and covers everything from the initial creative ideation through to designing elements of highly innovative event projects. No two days (or projects) are ever the same, but generally you'll be responsible for: - Part of the initial creative team that shapes the overall creative approach- Liasing with their tech experts to scope out how your designs can work in the real world- Conceptualizing, creating and executing high quality 3D designs- Liasing with the Creative Director, Art Directors and internal 3D Graphics team- Managing your own timelines to make sure projects are completed- Ensuring that all of your design work is of the highest standard THE CANDIDATE Candidates must have extensive 3D experience from within a Live event / Immersive experience environment. From this they will have a mastery of a 3D software (such as Maya, Cinema 4D, or Blender) to create stunning motion graphics, animations, and visual effects. In addition to the experience and technical capability they must also have the passion and enthusiasm to join one of the best creative event production agencies out there.
