About the role
The primary purpose of this role is to develop, maintain, continuously improve, and support both internal and client-facing IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and telecoms systems. The successful candidate will report directly to our Global Infrastructure Lead, providing expert Infrastructure oversight, while working with the wider IT department to ensure the successful delivery and performance of our IT services the fulfillment of our obligations, and Service Level Targets.
What you will do
Takes a lead role in completing more complex project tasks to enable the on-time, within-budget, and scope delivery of IT Infrastructure projects.
Takes a lead role in conducting more complex root cause analysis to identify and resolve complex problems impacting IT Infrastructure.
Work with the global IT team to undertake maintenance activities to ensure that the servers (both Cloud and on-premise) are secure to make sure IT infrastructure remains available and ‘fit for purpose’
Perform L2 and L3 incident management for Desktop and Server Infrastructure Technologies Supporting the systems administrator(s) with BAU support, providing an escalation point for high-level users and issues
Infrastructure innovation, in line with business plans and software development
Develop an understanding of ISO 27001 and assist with audits, compliance, and policy development
Perform root-cause analysis on cyber and compliance risks
Out-of-hours work to support global teams when required
Takes a lead role in developing documentation for the more complex technical areas. Mentor less experienced team members in the execution of their duties

NETWORK DESIGN ENGINEER (PRIVATE NETWORK) - CONTRACT - HYBRID- PADDINGTON Private Network Design Engineer Contract : 6 months Location: Paddington Hybrid role- requires travel to customer sites can be anywhere across the UK, looking at potentially 7 or 8 nights/ month We are hiring a RAN Private Network Design Engineer to generate solution High and Low Level Designs for customer Private Network deployments for one our telecom clients in Paddington Primary Responsibilities Lead customer Private Network solution development and design. Work with existing client's Solution Architects and designers to deliver high quality, detailed design documentation that is used as a reference for customer deployments. Translating customer and operational requirements into E2E Private Network High and low level designs ncompassing Core, RAN, IP transport, Devices, Network Management. Key point of technical support to the delivery and integration teams throughout the deployment and integration lifecycle of customer deployments. Input into bid and RFP documents supplied to customer. Generate pricing and bill of materials for technical solutions. Ensure Boldyn & industry standardisation and best practice are followed in the design of customer solutions. Maintain relationships and information exchange with Boldyn operational, Deployment Sales and Engineering teams. The generation of E2E Solution Designs which include: 4G, 5GNSA & 5GSA Core Network design 4G, 5GNSA & 5GSA RAN design IP Transport (Core & Backhaul) IP design Device & Use-Case design Provide expert technical advise on Private Network functionality, performance & Implementation, including complex migrations. Expereince required: 5+ years of relevant experience in mobile network design / solution architecture at a senior level Experience of working in some of the following industry areas; telecommunications, manufacturing, mining, logistics, refineries and other process industry, power plants Strong, demonstrable technical expertise across the following domains: LTE EPC and 5G Core LTE and 5G NR RAN (including RF Coverage & Performance) IP Transport, Backhaul & Security Knowledge of standard networking protocols and components such as HTTP, DNS, IP Routing (BGP, IS-IS OSPF), TCP/IP, IPv6 and load balancing. Detailed knowledge of HPE (PN & IP Portfolio), Nokia, Ericsson, Palo Alto hardware and functionality Extensive Knowledge of 3GPP & ETSI standards Advanced network troubleshooting skills Experience, Knowledge & Skills Required The successful candidate for this role will have a breadth of experience, working at a technical level across multiple mobile network domains - Core, RAN, IP. You will need to be able to demonstrate your understanding of the key concepts of an end-2-end solution architecture. Recent experience as a Solution Architect or Solution Designer specifically developing Private Networks. Hands on integration experience deploying RAN and Core solutions.
