Qualifications & Experience
A high level of education or relevant experience will be considered. The Technical Consultant would have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the industry, working with products from leading manufacturers such as CISCO, ShoreTel, Fortinet and Bluecoat.
Technical
Applicant must hold a valid Cisco CCNA, CCDP, CCNP or higher accreditation together with a demonstrable hands-on experience of the CISCO Product portfolio focussed on switching and routing, security and wireless.
Qualifications in Fortinet, Bluecoat, ShoreTel or other major manufacturers would be an advantage.
Applicant must be able to demonstrate skills in the design and deployment of Cisco Routers, Wireless, Switches and Firewalls:

Role Responsibilities

- Provide on-demand technical escalation to Incident Management personnel ensuring customer problems are resolved or that service is restored in accordance with service level agreements
- To work and often lead a virtual team with all the attributes to manage customer expectations in a crisis situation where the impact to a customer`s business exceeds the value of service credits permissible
- To attend internal and external (customers) Change Advisory Boards (CAB), influencing customer decisions and best practise.
- Working knowledge and adherence to ISO27001 guidelines
Attend customer premises when necessary to facilitate and progress complex, high risk change activity
- Customer satisfaction levels measured by regular service review meetings.
- Customer feedback on:
- quality of service and interaction
- added value/benefits from advice

- Specialised knowledge of routing and switching
- Routinely manage complex changes and networking problems in at least one of the following core specialist areas LAN, WAN and VPN/Security

The Opportunity: Working as a contract Senior IT Security Engineer, your role is working as a key member of the Information Security and Privacy team that works closely with Infrastructure and Application services teams to ensure that all applications and systems are built, maintained and protected in accordance with policies, standards, and compliance requirements so that the risk is managed appropriately. The successful candidate will assist with developing and implementing appropriate network security solutions with desired end state of the Information Security and Privacy programs.
