An excellent and challenging role for a NOC engineer to be involved at the heart of the network infrastructure underpinning much of the cloud. Working with a range of customers, from cloud service providers, data centres and some of the largest end user clients you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting the network and ensuring it meets its technical specifications and exceeds uptime targets.
On a day to day basis you will build working relationships with technical teams within major cloud providers, large telcos and banks and perform network surveillance and monitoring, responding to alarms and anomalies as well as escalation calls and undertaking ongoing work to improve performance and increase network capacity.
You will need significant prior experience in a NOC (or 2nd line network engineering role) and good knowledge of IP and Ethernet as well as a variety kit; ideally Juniper or BTI switches but Cisco experience is very relevant. Experience in a carrier/ISP/Service Provider environment would be particularly useful
The role is based in central London and provides an opportunity to work with a fast growing company with a presence across Europe. There is a strong opportunity to develop your skills and build a real career.
The role will pay in the region of £35-45K plus healthcare, pension and bonus.
