Worl leading IT company are looking for an Applications Developer for an initial 6 month contract based in Hook. For this role you must hold current SC Clearance and be skilled Microsoft OS (W2K3, W2K12, XP and W7), Active Directory, Microsoft Applications ( e.g. WSUS, Office 2K3/2K10, IE11, Outlook 2K10) and design impacts.
Essential Skills:
+ Strong written communications - must be able to write technical reports, design documents, STW documents etc.
+Strong verbal communications - must be able to confidently and coherently talk at all levels; engineers through to customers. For example to capture design information, requirements, etc.
+ Comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft OS (W2K3, W2K12, XP and W7), Active Directory, Microsoft Applications ( e.g. WSUS, Office 2K3/2K10, IE11, Outlook 2K10) and design impacts.
+ Comprehensive working knowledge of Lotus Domino, Lotus Sametime, VMware software.

An exciting opportunity is required for a Network Engineer to work onsite with our Defence client in Christchurch. This is an initial 6 month opportunity but very likely to be extended and will pay £45 p/h. SC Clearance required prior to starting.
**Role Summary / Purpose of Job**
As a Systems Engineer you will report to the Engineering Project Manager and Project Design Authority as applicable. Your responsibilities will include estimation of development activities, design of technical solutions, implementation or subcontract of proposed solutions and the testing involved in verifying them. You will also be required to help in diagnosing and solving customer reported issues.
As part of the development team you will be expected to work closely with your team members, as well as providing support to other teams such as business winning, development, test, and support teams. You may also be required to support and advise Junior Engineers as directed by the Engineering Manager or Design Authority.
You will be responsible for the design and implementation of our deliveries at the operational level. In other words, not only will you be responsible for ensuring the components comprising our systems meet their requirements but you will be responsible for ensuring our delivered products operates and integrates correctly with the customers extant operational systems.
**Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications**
- A strong Systems engineering background
- A good understanding of the complete systems engineering lifecycle
- A good working knowledge of the development processes (e.g. requirements, design, specification, implementation, integration and testing, acceptance), and development tools (e.g. Requirements Management, Modelling and defect reporting systems)
- A background in Communications, (voice, data and radio products)
- Communications technologies: IP networking (including network design), VOIP, Point-to-Point radio links, 4G mobile technologies, network security, network management
- Software Operating Systems (Windows, Server 2012, Linux, VM Environments)
- A good understanding of designing equipment to meet stringent environmental - Understanding of Design Certification and Product Safety Processes
- Familiarity with Export control and ITAR rules and regulations would be desirable
Candidates will require Full SC Clearance prior to starting due to the nature of the work. Therefore candidates who already hold SC are preferred. Must be eligible to work and live in the UK
