3rd Line Support / Engineer

We are recruiting for an experienced 3rd Line Support Engineer for our client, a professional services and finance institution based in North Yorkshire. On offer is a 3-month initial contract inside IR35 at a daily rate up to £300 per day with strong probability of extension. The role is fully remote, with the odd trip into the office on a very ad-hoc basis.

What you will be working on:

• You will be working among the infrastructure team to ensure high systems availability
• Systems administration, security, configuration management, various project deliveries, supplier management, user support, procurement and purchasing
• Dealing with technical escalations from the 1st and 2nd line team efficiently
• Handling the delivery of updates, system changes and managing systems alongside key third-party suppliers

We are looking for for someone who has experience with:

• A deep understanding of all major elements of the IT systems landscape including networking, telephony, operating systems, application servers, firewalls, and mobile devices.
• Meraki Networks and Portal Management
• Migration projects
• Microsoft Azure
• Microsoft Windows Server (2016,2019) Exchange Online / Office 365, SQL Server, VMware, Azure Active Directory and Group Policy administration
• Networking components such as TCP/IP, VPN's, LANS, WANS, VLANS, DNS/ WINS and DHCP) with
• Configuring switches, routers and firewalls (Cisco Meraki)
• Intune Management

What you'll get in return
You will be earning up to £300 a day inside IR35, on a 3-month initial contract (extension likely) The role is fully remote, with the odd trip into the office on a very ad-hoc basis.
