Your role:
Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) are looking for an experienced Senior Networks Officer to join the Digital Services team. The successful candidate will have good knowledge of networking, including the design, implementation, support and documentation of data and voice network services.
You will be heavily involved in the day to day ‘business as usual’ work relating to the authority’s networks, including tasks such as:
There will be an expectation for you to divide your time up to work on small, medium and large projects when required.
The job attracts a salary range of £35934 - £39,782 based upon experience. There is also an On-Call rota that you would be expected to participate in for which there is an additional payment of around £4,000 per year.

The Digital Services team manage and support the Greater Manchester Combined Authority’s ICT architecture.

We employ around 38 staff, mostly based in Fire and Rescue Services HQ, 146 Bolton Road in Swinton. We also support the GMCA HQ at Churchgate house, Oxford Street, Manchester and 47 Fire stations, Training Centres and Data Centres across greater Manchester.
