Cross-Functional Collaboration Interface with mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and system engineering teams to ensure cohesive full-machine system design. Participate in design reviews, DFMEAs, and hazard analyses related to machine functionality and operator safety. Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, toolchains, and modelling standards. Embedded Software Engineer Requirements: Strong capability in MATLAB/Simulink, including model architecture, simulation, and MBD workflows. Hands-on experience with JAMA, JIRA, and structured requirements management. Proficient with CANalyzer or equivalent tools for CAN-based diagnostics and communication analysis. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance across the Tewkesbury production and distribution site Respond to breakdowns and provide reactive maintenance support Fault find, repair, and test electrical and mechanical plant equipment Carry out electrical installation work including single and three phase systems Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, inspection protocols, and testing requirements Assist with electrical improvement and installation projects across site Conduct scheduled inspections, lubrication, and maintenance of machinery Perform annual emergency lighting and electrical distribution testing Work closely with the Engineering Manager to adapt maintenance schedules as required Follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures What We're Looking For Qualified Electrical Engineer with strong electrical bias City & Guilds 2391-51 - Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Amendment 2) Level 3 Award in Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations Strong electrical fault finding and diagnostic skills Experience working with automated or high-speed machinery Ideally experience within an FMCG or manufacturing environment Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities Committed to delivering high standards of workmanship and safety Please apply with your CV in the first instance. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Battery Systems Engineer to join a pioneering startup developing next generation battery technology. This is a hands on role for someone who loves building, testing and iterating quickly. You'll take ownership of battery pack design from concept through to flight, working collaboratively within a fast moving, inventive engineering team. The Battery Systems Engineer will: Design and develop lightweight, high performance battery packs for drone applications. Create and implement effective thermal management solutions for performance and safety. Assemble prototype packs in-house and support development toward manufacturable designs. Design and integrate power electronics and BMS hardware within the overall system architecture. Establish and run test programmes for performance, cycle life, thermal behaviour and safety validation. The Battery Systems Engineer will have: A hands on, practical approach with enthusiasm for building, testing and improving hardware. A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. 3+ years' experience working on battery systems, including pack design and power electronics. Strong understanding of BMS architecture, protection strategies and charge/discharge behaviour. Experience with PCB design tools (Altium, KiCAD or similar).
