We are looking for a Data Engineer to help us build and maintain scalable and resilient pipelines that will ingest, process, and deliver the data needed for predictive and descriptive analytics. These data pipelines will further connect to machine learning pipelines to facilitate automatic retraining of our models.

Key Responsibilities
Work in a team of machine learning engineers responsible for the productization of prototypes developed by data scientists.

Key Responsibilities/ Duties -Technical ownership of powertrain design projects - from formative idea, to end of useful life. -Collaborate with our in-house machine shop, the external supply chain, inspection and quality departments to ensure we deliver the best value between performance, reliability and cost. -Apply engineering calculations to support your design work in pursuit of "right first time". -Develop relationships with technical partners to push boundaries and develop new capabilities. -Organise suitable containments for feedback that is generated during prove-out, at the race event, or during servicing. -Work closely with our colleagues at Mercedes High Performance Powertrains to identify, measure and deliver the best overall lap time solutions to the circuit. -Enact technology transfer to engineering activities outside of Formula 1 as part of our Applied Science programmes. Candidate Profile -Previous considerable experience within an engineering application (can include a placement year). -Mechanical Engineering Degree or similar qualification at 2:1 level or above. -Able to demonstrate a solid level of first-principles understanding of mechanics, and problem-solving skills that give an ability to think on your feet. -Communicative and collaborative skills to deliver effective cross-departmental results. -Curious, committed to continuous learning, and ability to adapt quickly to change. Advantageous (but not essential) Experience -Experience and enjoyment of any of the following specialisms would be beneficial: Gear and bearing design, hydraulic systems, t hermodynamics, composite materials design/ manufacture, additive layer design/ manufacture, programming skills (e.g. Python). -Operation of a high-end CAD system - we use Dassault 3DX.
