Senior Java Developer GIS. Superb opportunity for a Senior / Lead Java Developer to join and expanding team working on design, innovation, development, QA and implementation of geospatial solutions from front-end web/mobile to complex back-end data manipulation using Java technologies in an Agile Scrum environment. Required Skills and Experience: • Proven ability to contribute to architecture and designs • Knowledge and experience of design and development of Java EE technology solutions • Proven troubleshooting and debugging skills using standard tooling (e.g. VisualVM, MAT, jps, jstack, jstat etc.) • Experience in CI, build automation and Agile environment. • Contribute to team values Approachable, Agile, Innovative, Smart • Self-motivated team player with strong problem solving and communication skills • Passionate about continuous improvement Desired Skills and Experience: • Be a craftsman with great OO thinking • Experience of manipulating complex data • Experience developing SOAP and REST APIs • Experience with continuous integration servers (Jenkins/Hudson or TeamCity) • Database experience (Oracle, Postgres or Microsoft SQL Server) • Experience with web front-end development (AngularJS, Angular or DOJO) • Experience in GIS or geometry manipulation • Familiarity with Java EE application servers (JBoss/WildFly or Oracle WebLogic) • Familiarity with Docker • Familiarity with configuration management tools (Puppet or Ansible) • Familiarity with both Windows and Linux This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing technology company situated in Cambridge.
