Lead Kubernetes Engineer - Global Platform - Manchester

Lead Kubernetes Engineer opportunity with a global leader in data science technology in Manchester. You will act at the Kubernetes SME, setting the technology strategy on a global transformation project to build a best in class cloud platform. You will lead the technology transformation, delivering the migration from a consulting services organisation to a service oriented software development organisation. The focus is on delivering products using their own cloud platform. It’s a senior role for someone who can demonstrate expertise in Kubernetes while also bringing a broader technical skillset too. You’ll also be working with: Iaas, Paas, Cloud – AWS or Google Cloud Platform Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible Scala, Go, Python IDM/IAM, Big Data, REST based services Spark, Hadoop, Grafana, Kibana Micro Services Architecture In addition to strong technical skills you must be an evangelist for new technology, be comfortable managing stakeholders and influencing the direction of a multi-million pound programme. On the last Friday of the month the whole company finish at 2pm, and 4pm on all other Fridays.
