Senior Business Intelligence Consultant – BI, SQL, MS, SSAS/SSIS/SSR

This role is for a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant – Microsoft, BI, SQL 2008/2012/2014/2016 The successful Senior Business Intelligence Consultant will have the chance to join our award-winning Microsoft Gold Partner consultancy. At IMGROUP the Senior Business Intelligence Consultant will use their knowledge of SQL and related technologies to understand a client’s business problem, architect viable solutions and guide the implementation of those solutions within the client’s environments which are mainly large blue-chip FTSE (Apply online only) clients. Responsibilities Client environments will vary in size, industry sector and working arrangements, so the scope of each project will vary. Flexibility of approach is required in carrying out responsibilities, including: • Devising and delivering appropriate BI and SQL architectures and technical solutions to meet client and IMGROUP requirements. • Acting in a Senior Consultant role with the client, providing liaison, ongoing communication, managing client expectations and dealing with client issues • Supporting business development and pre-sales activities including proposal writing • Playing the Technical Design Authority role • Scoping projects and establishing commercial parameters based on project estimates and plans • Liaising with client senior management and establishing corporate BI Strategies Qualifications and Skills • Microsoft Certified Professional – premium level preferred, i.e. MCITP, MCDBA, MCSD • Essential experience of the following specific technologies: • Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016: o Analysis Services o Relational Database o Integration Services o Reporting Services o Data Mining • Microsoft PowerBI • Experience in the following is also desirable, but not essential: o Microsoft SharePoint o Microsoft Dynamics Client Relationship Management (CRM) o Microsoft .NET development in C# o BI/DW in the Cloud o Big Data Analytics reporting solutions o Other enterprise Relational database technologies, e.g. Oracle, DB2, Ingres, Informix, Sybase etc o Other Multi-Dimensional OLAP database technologies, e.g. Hyperion, Applix TM1 , Oracle Express, Holos, Cognos PowerPlay Transformer Cubes etc o Other Data Warehousing and ETL Tools, e.g. Ab Initio, Microstrategy, Kalido, Informatica, Business Objects Data Integrator etc o Other Analytical and Reporting tools, e.g. Microsoft Office/Excel, Panorama NovaView, Temtec, Cognos PowerPlay, Cognos ReportNet, Business Objects • Experience of Corporate ERP and Accounting systems, e.g. SAP, Siebel, JDE, SUN Accounts etc This is a great chance for an experienced Senior Consultant to use their knowledge of Microsoft BI and SQL 2008/2012/214/2016 and to move into an award-winning consultancy.
