Network Delivery Manager
Duration:
6 month contract

Wokingham, hybrid 2/3 days per week onsite
Rate:
up to £533.60 p/d Umbrella inside IR35
Clearance required:
Active SC Clearance is required
Role purpose / summary:
- Lead the end to end delivery of network projects (LAN/WAN, SD WAN, Wi Fi, security, cloud connectivity, etc.).
- Translate business requirements into delivery plans, ensuring alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and budgets using appropriate delivery frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Ensure smooth deployment of network upgrades, migrations, and expansions across multiple sites.
- Coordinate with architecture, engineering, operations, and third party vendors to ensure seamless delivery.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for network delivery-related communications.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external suppliers, and service providers.
- Drive vendor accountability for on time and quality delivery.
- Provide regular progress reporting to senior leadership and project governance forums.
Quality, Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure all network delivery activities comply with company standards, security policies, and industry best practices.
- Oversee testing, validation, and documentation to support operational readiness.
- Support change management processes, including CAB (Change Advisory Board) submissions and risk reviews.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline network delivery processes and improve efficiency.
- Contribute to the development of network delivery standards and best practices.
- Support capacity planning, lifecycle management, and technology refresh initiatives.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Proven experience delivering network projects in medium to large scale environments.
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking technologies, such as:
- Routing & Switching (Cisco, Aruba, Juniper)
- SD WAN technologies
- Firewalls and network security
- Wireless networks
- Cloud networking (Azure, AWS, etc.)
- Experience coordinating cross functional technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills, both technical and non technical.
- Experience working with external network vendors/carriers.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and change management.
Skills:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, ITIL Foundation, Prince2, PMP).
- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, DNA Center, etc.).
- Experience delivering large scale network transformations or cloud migrations.
